Apart from their gorgeous products, the biggest asset of this store is their staff; they know their shit. I was killing time the other afternoon while waiting for an appointment, and I walked past the store front. Like a choir of angels singing from above, I saw the coat I knew I wanted to get a certain someone for Christmas. Best known for their high-end luxury, ultra sexy sleek, all-weather outerwear, mainly geared towards the motorsports and aviation, Belstaff is just downright timeless. Forget fast fashion, if you want investment pieces, you’ll get it here. After walking past the store admiring the coat probably 5 times, I decided to go inside and interrogate the poor lone sales guy, who was super friendly and knowledgeable. I found out the following: * The name of aforementioned super sexy man coat for super special partner in mind, and the price tag * If the store doesn’t have the style/colour/size you want, they will order it in for you to try with no obligation to purchase * They have their pieces altered by Sew Easy(quadruple validation — see my review here: ) * He recommended other styles that I/partner would possibly like * He also recommended a size based off of the Hugo Boss suit sizing I knew my partner wears * If they don’t have the product in the UK(Manchester or London), then they will expedite shipment from NY or Italy After the Spanish Inquisition was over, I was really chuffed with knowing the variety of options I had, and the lengths the store would go to make the customer happy. If only more stores had customer service like this and were less aloof… But I guess it comes with a price tag, eh?

Oh dear. I only went in for a tin of wax for an old jacket and ended up leaving with a rather lovely new addition to my wardrobe. Am sure the clothes are so good they could sell themselves, but the store design compliments the style and the guys know what they’re talking about. While I’m ageing like a Mongolian herdsman, my new jacket will be getting better as the years fly by. Dorian Gray eat your heart out.
