I popped in here just as a means to an end and that’s really all I can say. The coffee was nice, however the scrambled egg was tasteless, watery and done in the microwave — not pleasant. Service was also slow, and the lady actually forgot one of our orders. Would get a takeaway coffee, but that is all.

The best coffee in the whole of the west end. Great wee place very clean not too loud and good prices 2.95 for a full breakfast. Staff are incredibly friendly aswel. Will definitely be making a return visit.

All you really need to know about Café Oliver is that it charges 2.95 for a full English breakfast. It’s that kind of place.
I don’t mean that in a bad way. The food is tasty and filling and with small seated areas inside and out it’s one of the better greasy spoons in this neck of the woods.
I’ve also always found the staff to be extremely friendly making it a nice spot to stop off for a quiet read of the papers and no thrills snack. In truth, Glasgow would be a poorer, albeit healthier, place if it wasn’t for cafes like this.
