This shop is at least 5 times better than I expected. With an unexciting name like«Cards Galore» I thought I knew what I was getting. I was wrong. Sure, this place has tonnes of cards but they’re actual good cards that you’d want to give to your best friend, not just boring, dull and uninteresting cards. I even snorted at one or two of them(both of which I purchased). In addition to cards they sell a small range of gifts which — again — are actually decent. They have the Happy Jackson range which I think most people would like(especially me) as well as some nice other bits & pieces. The staff member on duty wasn’t the chirpiest person on the planet but I’ll forgive her as the shop was pretty good. I’ll be back.

Life saver! Had to buy a card very last minute before a train journey. Just so happens this place is here. Boom! Decent selection and pleasantly well priced(let’s face it, they could have charged me anything and most train station retailers do!). Should be renamed Phew Galore!

Super little card shop with lots of choice. I hadn’t been in there until very recently because I thought the large city centre shops would be best. However, I couldn’t find what I was looking for there so I had a browse in Cards Galore before catching my train. What a pleasant surprise! I discovered many beautiful cards which I hadn’t seen anywhere else, at competitive prices too, and found exactly what I was looking for. The two young women who worked in there that day were really cheerful and friendly. I’ll certainly visit again next time I’m in Glasgow.

Look beyond the collectables in the window and this is a really good little card shop. Cards galore indeed!

We’ve all been there. You are rushing home from town and have totally forgotten that you have to pick up a card for a loved one or friend, but your train is due in ten minutes. Disaster. But fear not, Cards Galore in Central Station is the solution to all of your card needs. This shop is tiny, and can fit about three people in it at a time. There is literally no room to breathe, but the cards are all compacted onto the stand and around the walls, so you can get a good look around. The shop has the same kind of vibe as cool carderies(I made that word up) like Scribbler and Papyrus, just a little less rude. They do a lovely line in bold, glittery picture cards, perfect for a birthday or special occasion when you want to write your own words in. I bought my friend a lovely card with a huge cupcake frosted in pink glitter for her birthday, for a respectable £2.49. Not bad considering where you are, and how much these contemporary cards usually set you back. As well as cards, Cards Galore sell gift wrap and bags, some gifts(look in the windows, they are mainly displayed there) and what I can only describe as ‘stocking fillers’; mini books on how to swear in 4 different languages, lipglosses in the shape of handbags and small boxes of chocolates, which is ideal if you need a quick fix gift. Not the cheapest, but absolutely not the dearest. Very handy and convenient!
