This isn’t my local costa and it’s the first time i’ve been in this one but the standard was as high as it always is. It would seem Costa has a great template for hiring and training staff so they are polite, friendly and funny across the board. It’s the people that make a place and i’m happy to say they made my visit a lovely one.

I rarely ever go into this costa but whenever I do the great service and smiley face of the manager makes me keep a mental note to try come more often. I always ask for my drink iced and in some places people find that a challenge when the menu doesn’t say it’s possible but this branch of costa always make me iced drinks from ANYTHING I ask for! The manager even talks to you like a normal human being, it’s not just the usual awkward«how’s your day been?», «long day shopping?»… He makes you feel welcome and comfortable. I’ve never had a single problem with this branch but if I ever did then I wouldn’t hold it against them.

I was always a starbucks fan till l came to costa the coffee is 40p cheaper. If you sign up for a points card you can collect points for free coffee. Free cards are available in store, there is Wi/Fi in store, and seating outside

This place is very much a ‘i need coffee noo, where can I go’ type coffee selling establishment, that just happens to be in the right place on several of my daily routes. Is the coffee wildly fantastic? No. Do the barristas compare with any of those plying there trade in the growing number of independent coffee shops in out fair city? No. Is it there when you need it and supplies you with average broon bean juice when yer eyes are doing the vertical wave to reality? Aye. Sold. Needs must at times.

This lovely little branch of Costa is ideal for popping into, whilst shopping on Sauchiehall Street. Inside, you’ll find a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and some of the tastiest coffee around. What is great about Costa, apart from their lovely coffee, is their coffee club card; offering customers points on their purchases, which they can then redeem on free drinks. It’s nice to get something back, I just wish they had wifi, which would make this place perfect.

Another Costa. I’ve only ever got coffee from here to take away, with the interior of the nearby Costa in Waterstone’s a much nicer place to sit. They do have outdoor seating when the weather allows though, but I’m an on the move man so I like my coffee to go! I used to work in a café with a Costa machine and remember vividly a blonde woman who gave me training. The basic mission statement was simple: you should be able to go into any Costa and order whatever you want and it should taste identical to any other Costa. In short then, you pay for the price of familiarity and consistency which in a town of coffee shops is important to encourage customer loyalty. As a casual coffee consumer, my verdict can’t go far on this particularly Costa. I know they don’t make a Moccachino as good as I used to though!

This branch of costas is so much nicer than my local one. It is a bigger shop with more areas to sit .The staff are nice and knowledgeable about the products they sell. They also sell sandwiches, paninis, yogurt etc. Food is served promptly and it has never been burnt.

I can’t say I enjoy the coffee here but their other beverages and their location certainly makes up for it. Being in the middle of a large bookstore means you’re able to have a browse while enjoying a drink and cake.

There are a lot of costa coffe’s in glasgow, 2 on sauchiehall street, my favourate is the waterstones book shop one. I love book shop, almost library like atmoshere, your incouraged to pick up books and having a good read whilst you sup on your latte. The staff all aways friendly, and because its a book shop they often had opening nights, readings and guest speakers. These were great, if you just happened to be there whilst having a coffee, or for a special visit. Its in the basment, with a balconny around a large central area, so lots of visability, and can hide away in a quiet corner. There is a stage area where they have the readings and so on. There are a few draw back, it is in the basment of a large building, so theres no day light just fake, no fresh air, and no watching the world go by. this is a shame, as its the best past time for drinking coffee. Its also sadly(although great coffee!) a chain coffee shop, and becasue of this has chain coffee shop prices, and the usual wrapped panini’s and sarnies, which also cost a fortune. the coffee as already stated, are great, being of italina origin’s they do know how to make a good coffee, and train their staff well!

Nice sitting in here and watching the world go by. Its pretty standard as all Costa chains are, but the location is pretty good for a spot of people watching.
