Awesome boots! Always had a soft spot for Garage. They started in my home town Leeds. I was working in Glasgow and foolishly trusted the weather forecast, which promised a bit of sun and NO rain. What do you know? I got soaked to the skin! So it was Superdrug for some dry tights and Garage for some cowboy boots — which I now have not had off my feet since I bought them. I went to my meeting, my hair had gone frizzy, my make-up was shot, but at least I got a compliment about my boots. Oh — and I got a good order to take back to Leeds — so my boss even paid me back for the boots and tights — #Result

I have to agree with Lisa on this one, the shoes in here do not even deserve to be called shoes. They are made of the cheapest material possible and some of them look like they’ve been glued together — with Prit Stick. This shop also has the most ridiculous happy hardcore music blaring out of it at all times of the day, which is enough to give anyone a headache. Cheap shoes at cheap prices but will just give you a cheap look. Not good. If you want some hot new shoes but don’t fancy spending a lot of cash then pop into New Look or Dorothy Perkins, they usually have pretty heels that won’t break the bank.

If you love shoes please don’t go in this store as it will make you cry your heart out! This shop is full of the cheapest and tackiest crap imaginable. There is a world of difference between fashionable and this mince. All the shoes look like something strippers would wear, but cheaper. Everything looks like it would instantly disintegrate in the rain! If you want a cheap pair of shoes or boots for a night out then there are plenty of other places to go which are much more fashionable and not at all tacky. I’d recommend somewhere like New Look or Primark which both have a fantastic footwear range at the same prices as Garage Shoes. Your feet deserve better than this ladies! One star, and I am giving that grudgingly!

Sadly this place looks almost trashy from the outside and the name and font of ‘garage shoes’ doesnt do much to dispell this. However, if you see past this and venture in here you might be pleasantly surprised. I first discovered it online when seeking a cheap but nice enough looking pair of boots that I knew were going to get ruined quickly and so didn’t want to spend a huge amount. To my delight the ones displayed on the Garage Shoes website seemed to do just that but I was wary about ordering from a website when the item can be very different from the picture. When I noticed they had a store in Glasgow I popped in. It was very busy with people trying on shoes but not on the messy, sometimes chaotic, level of Deichmann shoe shops and the shoes were actually very similar to how they appeared online — all rather trendy too. They are very cheap so I’d imagine they wouldn’t last too long but if you need a pair of fashionable shoes that don’t have to be fabulously durable then this place is a good bet.
