Right now, some chips from Micha’s are resting in my well nourished belly. Nom, nom. What a Saturday night treat! Formerly belonging to Glasgow chippy giants the Jaconelli’s, Micha’s has branched off, but the quality of Jaconelli’s is apparent in this establishment also. In fact, the chips and the prices have barely changed in all my years of staying around here. They still do a jumbo sausage supper that takes you to a higher plain of taste experience, and a pretty mean steak pie. Usually, I settle for the chip roll as I did tonight and it always hits the spot. Micha’s has brought in a new and convenient service — they do home delivery! Is it really shameful I stay within walking distance and yet sometimes phone? I’m lucky they don’t give me a clip round the ears!(They are actually really nice). As far as chip shops go, I batter into this one on a regular basis but would travel further to go to it! It specialises in the really fat brand of chips but you don’t feel too bagged up after you’ve polished them off. Aside from the usual pizza/chip/sausage variety, they also do hamburgers, healthy sandwich options and a thirst-busting fridge full of juice. if you’re in the area or up seeing a game at Firhill do stop by to sample the local flavour!
