I live really close to Good Chois, which I do think is a little dangerous. I’ve had takeaway more times than I would probably want to admit. It’s a good reliable takeaway, with all your usuals! There’s a few Chinese takeaways within in a couple of minutes walking distance but I definitely prefer here. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary on the menu, all the things you’d expect for a basic Chinese with a particularly good chow mien. Whenever I have friends staying for the night, they always give it a visit. I like the peking sauce, the salt and chilli chips are fiery and well seasoned, the king prawn dishes always include well cooked, large prawns and from what I’ve seen the meat dishes actually have plenty in them. The dishes are never too greasy, which I find a Chinese takeaway can be sometimes and it’s very reasonably priced with most dished between £4 and £6. The staff aren’t the friendliest, but for the 5 minutes you spend in the shop it’s not such an issue. Also you can order on just eat for delivery or collection, so I tend to only spend a moment in the place. Efficient takeaway, decent food, perfectly good at what they do.

I was in here last night for the first(and last time) and was served by what can only be described as Kim-Jong un’s evil twin. I’ve never had the misfortune of being served by someone so rude in my entire life and it felt like I was having my order taken by a petulant child with a severe attitude problem and not a grown woman. The food was pretty terrible too, overcooked chips, overcooked, slimy noodles and a Thai red curry that was sickly sweet and certainly didn’t resemble a Thai curry. A total waste of money. When I left, I was so astounded by attitude of the ‘woman’ serving that I jokingly made a reference about it to a local and apparently she is well known in the area for being an insufferable, miserable, poison dwarf that is constantly rude to customers and people stay away from the place in droves because of her, opting instead to go across the street to the much better Wee China. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
