Loads of great stuff though the staff always seem a little hostile towards the customers. The prices are pretty common to the stuff being sold but I think they have closed now.

Ach, Isis is alright in my books. It sells knock off«goth» stuff, alhough that term is so outdated and I hate using it. You can get bags with skulls on ‘em, cheap pin up dresses and some of last season’s tutu’s all for discounted prices. It’s not a particularly well laid out wee shop but if you’re just going to hit up a bargain, who cares? The railings are teeming with threads and for kids, the price is just right. If you’re not into scene style, avoid. If you are, you might strike it lucky and get a fair few gimmicky tees for cheap and cheerful prices!

Ok — I can see where Stephanie is coming from and fair enough, there now seems to be quite a few shops stocking similar products. Despite this, I have a soft spot for this. I would like to state this is not due to my love of tutus, black lipstick or PVC numbers. I like it’s reasonably priced basics: thick socks, warm legwarmers(I feel the cold), long and strong laces for trainers and boots alike and cheap simple silver hoop earrings in a variety of sizes. These are simple things which can be bought elsewhere but are of a slightly higher quality and, possibly, a slightly better price. Furthermore, I have always had very pleasant staff in here who possess great customer service skills. Maybe, this is due to me being a welcome break from the normal angst ridden teenager customer. Who knows. However, due to the usual customers that frequent this store, I would give it a miss on busy Saturdays.

Ahh, Isis. So near to other, practically identical emo shops, it must be fighting for its position amongst the alternative teenage community. You only really need to look in the window to tell what it will be like before you step inside; tu-tus, black fishnet gloves, uv hair dyes, living dead dolls. It’s all been done a million times before and it’s getting oh-so-boring. Perhaps the only(slight) difference here is that it specialises more in make-up than clothing. So if you need an over-priced black lipstick, some crazy coloured mascaras or fake eyelashes, which you could probably get for half the price in Superdrug or Bodycare, then it’s the place for you. I find it so strange these shops can thrive in Glasgow when they are much of a muchness, but i suppose there must be a market for it somewhere!

Goth, punk, alternative clothing and accessories shop. Their prices are a lot cheaper than most of the shops that stock these styles. The staff are always helpful.
