The building itself is worth checking out if you aren’t even into their clothes. Most of the sales clerks are really helpful and some know the history of what is original and what is not. I really like their overall aesthetic with muted tones and some vibrant coloured pieces. The sales are really good if you can wait through a season as well but some items sell out really fast. I’m enamoured with their skirts and tops. The one thing I would like to say is some of the sales clerks aren’t particularly helpful and some are beyond helpful. One of them looks more like they are shopping the entire time rather than working.

I wish I could say that I’ve been in here regularly to treat myself to classic, well cut and quality made pieces of clothes. As, the clothes in here are really something else: made from lovely materials, well designed, well cut and absolutely amazingly pretty on. And pretty they are. You’ll find the odd sultry, little black dress in here. Though, most of their pieces are pretty, floaty summer dressers; finely knitted cardigans and thin tops ideal for layering. However, for these gorgeous and very flattering pieces the prices do rise and are without a doubt on the expensive side of the high street options. Unfortunately, my close brushes with this place were made during an extremely short stint of dating an alcoholic ‘security’(e.g. read bouncer) guy who worked here. Classy.

Katie is absolutely right about this building, it is stunning and very hard to believe that a fashion retailer managed to snaffle it over some sort of art gallery! I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Jigsaw not only sells women’s clothing but also has a body and bath range and a beautiful home wear range. I absolutely LOVE the Miami bedding set but there was no way I could afford it. Instead I splashed out and bought one single Miami cushion cover at £25, eeekkkk! It doesn’t go with the rest of my bedding at all but the lovely embroidery on it was just too adorable! Clothes wise the look is stylish and classic with a nod towards current trends but most of the pieces you can buy from Jigsaw you could wear season after season. It is very similar to Reiss and Whistles in terms of style, quality and price. I would say though that Jigsaw does more fabulous casual wear such as great linen pieces and lovely knitwear compared to Reiss and Whistles which have more occasion wear focused lines. Most people, myself included, can’t afford to make regular purchases from Jigsaw but it is a great store to buy maybe one or two key pieces from each season.

Now, I’m assuming you’re all aware of Jigsaw as a shop. A quick recap: they sell absolutely gorgeous classic clothes, which are great quality but a teensy bit pricey. What I want to tell you about this Jigsaw, though, isn’t necessarily to do with the clothes. Instead, I’d like to tell you about the absolutely breathtakingly beautiful building that this store calls home. Even if you don’t like clothes, are a man, or can’t afford to buy a single thing from Jigsaw — please pay this place a visit. You will be treated with Grecian-style marble pillars, Rafaello-esque angels carved into the celing, and a set of double doors so gorgeous that you’ll wonder just how Jigsaw managed to wrangle them. Plus, it’s HUGE. The clothes themselves are somewhat overshadowed by the building, and the interior designers at Jigsaw have somehow managed to make the place look even better — with huge great mirrors and pretty red frames. To be honest, I barely even looked at the clothes. I was far too mesmerised by their surroundings. Trust me, you will be too.

This Jigsaw is located in a really nice old building and they have made the most of the space in a really large room. Changing rooms are at the back on the right. The lighting isnt fantastic in each cubicle as they have heavy curtains for your privacy which is great, but that blocks out a lot of the light, and the ceiling lighting in the room isnt that bright. I like to see myself properly in good lightling — maybe the colour doesnt really suit me after all? You can go out into the main bit of the changing room, but then the girl is there and comments on what you look like(in a nice way), but I would rather make up my mind in private. They only do store credit — so dont go buying thinking you can decide at home and return for a refund. A really nice shop though, a definate Jigsaw style, expensive though.
