Breakfasts and Brunches are generally a quick, but tasty affair for me. When caught in Glasgow City Centre in the Buchanan Galleries one is a little short on the availability of places to eat a full breakfast. So I was more than pleased to see that John Lewis department store actually has a «Place to Eat» Brasserie & Restaurant. I arrived within the Brunch time offering around 11:30AM and low and behold the buffet was still open. I choose bacon, egg, sausage, hash brown, tomato and beans. It came served with a single slice of toast. That and my pot of Earl Grey was to be my belly filler for the train journey home. Utterly disappointment. Bacon: part leather — part fat — part edible. Egg: springy and rubbery — edible, but indigestible Sausage: After I removed the plastic-like skin some edible meat was able to be scraped up. Beans: OK Tomato: actually quite nice Hash Brown: cold, not crispy and bland Toast: toasted as toast is As I was quite peckish I first did try to convince myself that I was just being picky — but as it went on I couldn’t stomach to eat most of it. I finished my tea and went on my way. never to return.
