This place is good, although a little like ordering at Starbucks. Everything is packaged — so it leaves you with a little plastic taste in your mouth(maybe that’s in my mind). Nevertheless, the food is good and freshly made that day. A good quick pit stop to keep you moving.

This Pret is my Pret. I used to live very close by and every morning when I went out for a morning run I would stop by Pret just before I got back to my very sleepy boyfriend at home and get us both some granola with warm milk, mmmmmm. Those were the days, so not only am I recommending St Vincent St Pret but I am also saying, a run before your granola makes it ever the more digestible. I love the granola, and they do it with soya milk! Great for vegans and for me who just likes it way better than milk. However you must must go early if you want to get a granola because it runs out so quick, just like everything else in Pret. But isn’t that a testament to how While I’m on the subject I might mention that Pret is in the top three places for lunch in my opinion, maybe even first now that I come to think of it. I love Pret salads, they are totally crammed with superfoods, pulses, seeds, a variety of salads and other things like sweet potato that have plenty anti oxidants. Also there is a selection of wierd drinks that you won’t really see that ofen like for fruit juice they don’t just sell orange juice, but instead. blood orange(which is a type of orange, not a bit of a halloween drink.

This place has provided me with many a sandwich on my way to work in Buchanan Galleries from an afternoon lecture at uni or a hungover bus journey into town on a Sunday. These also happen to be two of the most difficult times in the day/week to pick up a decent, tasty and only slightly overpriced sandwich. At 9.30am on a Sunday, there’s nowhere else open apart from here and Costa Coffee. Pret A Manger is the better bet. Trust me. Likewise, at 5.30pm on a Thursday afternoon all other sandwich places have either been closed for hours or have one mangled cheese, celery and tuna(or some other weird, horrible concoction) left. Therefore, this place because a bit of a weekly tradition. Throughout my three and a half years working in the Galleries, Pret A Manger sandwiches have fed me and cheered me up on many an occasion. The sandwich selection is always pretty good and freshly made that day. My favourites have got to be the tuna or mozzarella, tomato and basil baguettes. Not the most exciting or adventurous, I know but mightily tasty and on the cheaper price range in here. Additionally, while the baguettes don’t look too big to start with after guzzling one down you’ll be pretty full, pretty quickly. Perfect for helping sale Sundays in a mature ladies shoe shop fly by.

It’s definitely a bit soulless, portraying a slightly grating desperation to give the impression it’s in Manhattan, but the sarnies at Pret a Manger are actually of a pretty high standard, and not quite as overpriced as you’d think they would be. I’d still say an M&S BLT edges it from here, but coming second to that giant among sandwich retailers is no shame at all.

This branch of pret in right in the heart of office land so it is always very busy. They offer a great selection of upmarket sandwich and lunchtime type food. Everything is fair trade or organically produced. All food is made up from scratch on the premises daily. They offer a buffet service to offices which they can deliver or the customer can uplift it. There is a limited amount of seating available which adds a bit of cost onto your final bill. They leave out newspapers and magazines for customers to read whilst they eat. The premises is kept to a high standard and the staff are well trained and pleasant.
