I don’t have kids but I do have two nephews, a niece, as well as tonnes of baby-making-friends who I know need some cool-as-hell baby clothes in their lives. And so luckily for me as I was loitering outside The Sparkle Horse on Saturday trying to get reception on my phone(it seems to be on O2 blackspot) I spotted Rowdy Roddy over the road. I’d actually checked out their stuff online a while back and popped over for a «quick» visit. First up, the window of this shop is amazing. If you can look in the window and resist going inside, you’re a stronger human being than I am. I really wasn’t planning on shopping(although I did have my purse in my hand, so maybe I was) but when I was warmly greeted and made to feel like I was visiting pals, I just knew I’d end up getting a couple of things. This shop has the coolest kids stuff I’ve ever seen. There’s a vintage section of clothes as well as new designer stuff, plus toys, accessories, an awesome musical car thing, CDs and general amazingness. I didn’t really look at the prices on the vintage stuff but the designer/new stuff is probably more pricey than most kids shops. That being said, these clothes are the kinds you’d keep forever to remember how cool your toddler looked in a crocodile jacket. I ended up being here for way longer than planned and buying some unplanned presents to send to Australia but I am stoked with my purchases and can’t wait to head back to get more. They even do worldwide shipping from their online store for £10(free UK shipping). My only complaint about this shop? I found at least 10 items of clothing that I really want to wear but they only make them in kids sizes. Damn you fashionable children!

I stumbled upon this wee shop the other day and fell head over heals in love! They have the cutest collection of vintage clothing. I’ve never seen anything quite like it before. I was in need of a gift for a friend of mine who is expecting… I walked away with lullaby versions of Radiohead and Black Sabbath on CD! How could i resist?! Also some handmade goods that were locally made and the cutest little dress that reminded me of something I wore when I was a little girl. I live in the States, but if I lived here, I would have to have a baby of my own for the sole purpose of playing dress up with these clothes :)
