Storm Queen

I don’t know how many times I’ve passed Storm Queen and not been tempted in. I have no idea why, perhaps because it’s easy to wander by without really noticing. Or maye just because I don’t drink in Partick all that often.
However, when I heard that Hackney All Stars were doing a burger pop up here with free burgers through January I thought it might be time to give it a shot (call me fickle, if you must). I was pleasently surprised. The interior is very comfy in the traditional pub sense and food is served towards the back. There’s a good, well-​stocked bar and friendly staff available.
We visited on a Monday evening and it was a bit quiet but that’s really not shocking for a Monday in January. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it much mroe full at the weekend.
The burgers were pretty good (my partner was particularly impressed with the chips) so I’d keep an eye out for other Hackney All Stars pop ups. I’m not sure how long they’re staying at Storm Queen but clearly there’s a kitchen there, so I expect they probably serve food most days anyway.
