Been here before for a function to raise money for a trip for my friends’ class at Uni. Presumably they chose here because of the free function hire. Not much else to make it stand out really, aside fom the fishbowl cocktails that adequately get you wrecktangled. No inclination to go back though, and judging from the sorts of nights they put on with the sort of music you’re used to hearing pumping out of someone’s phone at the back of a bus, it seems to be targeted towards a younger crowd. It’s hardly The Arches for underagers, but something along those lines. Not on my list of places to go this year. Or the year after. Or.(repeat as necessary).

The Attic is the bar of choice for underagers and eighteenth birthday parties, since few other places will touch those bookings with a bargepole. The interior of this place leaves a lot to be desired, looking more like a sleazy holiday haunt than a city centre bar. The up or downside, whichever way you look at it, is the large fishbowl cocktails which are pretty decent value for money and create pretty much instant drunkness, if that is your aim, which for these punters it generally is.
