The Criterion Fish & Chip Shop

Great little chip shop and the fritters are brilliant
However they lost stars for the chicken supper! I normally love a chicken supper, you pay the money they give you half a chicken fried with a portion of chips
Here they asked if I wanted leg or breast? I was puzzled and bough well that’s nice that they would substitute one for the other so you get two legs, I opted out tho and said no thanks I’ll just have the two as they come
I get my chicken supper and I pay the guy with £10… I got just over £2 change??? I question it and he said I asked for the single chicken
That’s when I realised their chicken supper is only a ¼ … For the same price or other people’s half chicken!
Needless to say I only get the usual fritters from here now and go elsewhere for my beloved chicken suppers

Wanted to have a little dance and sing with my chips — the guy who was serving was playing 80s tunes and while I was waiting for fresh chips to be made he told me all about his time in the 80s out dancing and living dangerously whilst listening to Alison Moyet and the Pet Shop Boys!
Quality chips, great range of standard chippy fayre, and they also do pizzas.
