They now buy in their pizza dough. Its thick, chewy and tastes like cardboard. They Put fresh ingredients on it and serve it in a box(for carry out) specifying freshly baked pizza. Need I say more? I used to rate the minestrone here and highly recommend it but after tasting their latest pizza offerings I no longer have the confidence to recommend this place to anyone.

Popped in for lunch as we were in the area: this restaurant has a great atmosphere and authentic décor; the minestrone soup is delicious, and worth going just for that: the pizza topping was full of flavour but the pizza base was too thick.

We’re regulars here: Toscana offers simple, unpretentious Italian food done well by nice people. It’s cheap and very cheerful.

Toscana is a small family run Italian restaurant at the station end of the precint in Milngavie. It’s decorated authentically in an Italian fashion. It is very small inside with only a few tables which are tightly packed together. Staff are pleasant and helpful enough but nothing extraordinary. The menu is reasonable with a choice of pastas and pizzas. Prices are quite good. The minestrone soup is fantastic and is my favourite. It’s also not a bad place to stop for a coffee and cake. I’d recommend this as a place as worth a visit for lunch for people who live in the area but not worth a special trip for those who don’t.
