I often use this place for a business lunch, its a nice laid back atmosphere and the staff are always very efficient and friendly. The food comes in nice BIG portions and I especially enjoy their thin based pizzas –scrumptious! A nice hearty meal! Also worth a mention are the fantastic bathrooms — they look and smell great — always a bonus and a good sign that the place puts cleanliness as a priority!

We used to live in Bearsden, 20 years ago. So, visiting Glasgow we decided to check upon the neighborhood. And we find Andiamo, an upscale italian restaurant with excellent food and service, and best of all, offering lunch menu specials on a Saturday. Everything was delicious. The fry calamari was high standard. The spaguetti cozzy, with mussels was awesome. And the tortelloni dolcelatte, with nuts and spinach and cheese, to die for. Dessert: warm apple pie with ice cream and the caffe latte were so good. Bottom line, we had an excellent experience and strongly recommend everyone to try it

Fabulous staff, try and make time for a pre or post dinner drink in the cute bar area. The food is really good. They also do carry out– for collection only… though not at busy times so have a back plan!(I’ve taken one star off for this as it isn’t clear about the limited times on the website and left me scrambling about looking for other places to order in on a Saturday night with guests in)

What can I say such a lovely place and food that cannot fault, however family meal on Friday evening past was a pre Father’s Day. daughter and son in law who booked the meal arrived before rest of party with rest of us meeting in bar for cocktails so far so hubby and I arrived and were met by a young waiter standing at a table of champagne filled glasses, he looked sort of lost as I said we had a table booked then the front of house appeared and said the bar area was for a private function(strange in such a place) and ushered us to our table where daughter and son in law where of party followed but we all wanted to sit at bar and enjoy the ambiance of such lovely surroundings. turns out daughter and hubby arrived and sat down at bar ordered drinks then was told they would have to move, not good. Service was good as expected and food was faultless but why is a place like that allowing the first point of customer service to be taken over by a private function if they have an upstairs then invest ina function suite if not don’t alienate the rest of your clientele. were else in the area can anyone go for a nice chill and cocktail. that was the only thing that marred the night maybe informing clients on booking would help.

Andiamo’s Milngavie restaurant is without a doubt my favourite of all 3. I’ve become incredibly knowledgable with the chain as my partner Colin works for the Hamilton branch, and I’ve been in quite a lot of times in the last couple of years. Colin and I decided yesterday that we were going to visit all 3 restaurants in one day; have a coffee in the Giffnock branch, a starter in the Milngavie branch and then a main course in the Hamilton one, and we managed it successfully! Upon stepping into the Milngavie restaurant, I was blown away. In comparison to the other two, it’s so contemporary, fabulous and fresh. Black walls dotted with white and gold paintings and furnishings, a huge ornate fireplace and a whole lounge in the bar make this the largest of the three, but also definitely my favourite. Colin and I had starter portions of pasta to eat; Colin a Penne Modo Mio and myself a Rigatoni Norcina. Both were loved and scoffed down with a presumably indelicate manner. The staff were excellent, and loved to hear Colin was a fellow Andiamo staff member(even taking our final round of drinks off the bill!) Excellent work Andiamo! Now just get the other two up to a similar standard.

Andiamos is recently opened in Milngavie in the old Allander pub. They spent a lot of time and money renovating the old pub building and it shows — the bar restaurant is beautifully and luxuriously decorated inside. At the bar area there is a cocktail menu with a good selection of cocktails that they have tried to make a little different like an apple and raspberry mojito. The restaurant menu is wide and varied without being too much choice that you have to spend ages deciding what to eat. The food was really delicious and waiting staff very helpful and attentive. This would be a nice place to come for a nice romantic meal but maybe not one to take the kid to.
