Stopped to get a drink and relax before flight. Ordered a whisky and Coke– the bar tender doesn’t know what whiskey is! I tell her a brand and point to it and she gets the drink made. I go to pay by card and am told the card reader doesn’t work — I insist it is because I can see a customer at the end of the bar paying by card. She insists that I pay cash. Fine. I receive a pocket of coins for my understanding. I find a place to sit(not clean — staff is too busy congregating having a good chat to clean). A few minutes later after making eye contact with one of the staff, they come over — not to clean but to tell me I have to leave my table if i’m not going to order food. I smile and ask if she’s joking — «no you can’t sit here». I’m told to stand by the bar if I want to stay — no joke. This is the only bar in terminal 3 it seems and therefore you don’t actually need to be reasonable with customers apparently. I suggest you don’t go in with high expectations(or perhaps any). As I leave the customer next to me orders a rum and coke — bartender doesn’t know what that is either. Wow. Update: found a much better bar on the other side of the floor — walk past ‘The Bridge’ and follow the curve to the left. ORIEL’s is right ahead. Good service, clean, and a nice menu. Had lunch there and enjoyed it.

I had a £10 voucher since I had a flight delay at Heathrow, so I decided to try this place. There was a very diverse selection of food and drink, but I decided to go with the full English Breakfast. It didn’t have black pudding, but everything else found in this dish such as British bangers, rashers, eggs, beans, mushrooms, fried tomatoes, and toast. And you can wash all this down with a beer. The service was friendly and the food was decent. A fine place to stop over if you’re stuck in London for a few hours.

This was the last of four pubs I visited on my trip to London. Maybe you can argue that it being in Heathrow disqualifies it from both pub and London labels. I’ve been here on many a layover. This trip was about like the rest. I had a Bridge Ale half pint from the tap — the taste was average, but the price was competitive as airports go. I ordered fish & chips and a Guinness pint after being seated. The pub food was pretty average compared to my other experiences on this London trip. There is no tipping culture at UK pubs so I felt it strange the barkeep and server were both shamelessly pandering for tips. Undoubtedly a byproduct of the transient, international clientèle. I’m sure I’ll be back during my next LHR layover to sip the time away :)

We came here for breakfast on our 5 hour layover. Eating only airplane food for 12 hours from South Africa and then another 11 hours to San Francisco it was important for us to get a real meal in between the two flights. We arrived early so lunch wasn’t available. So we ordered: Classic Grande: they eat breakfast a little different than Americans do. Instead of hash browns, eggs, meat, and toast, the Classic contained two eggs, two bacon and sausage, a big mushroom, and canned Heinz Beans. The quality of food was decent, I can’t complain. However I missed having toast and potatoes. Now I kind of understand the mushroom. But the Heinz beans I still don’t get. Neither did the passenger sitting next to me on my next flight… Pancakes, eggs, meat: this was my wife’s breakfast. It was standard taste and quality. The service was short and kind of rushed. The waitress wasn’t that pleasant or friendly. The price for the meal converted into US was about $ 35. Overall it is what it is. A restaurant in the airport where long flight zombies go for somewhere to sit, eat, and charge their dying iPhone batteries.

It’s an airport restaurant, but it’s not as bad as it sounds. As we were flying to the US, we could have spent our 2,5 hours at Heathrow shopping the duty free, but we opted to have a nice meal and a drink, 2 things the Bridge can surely provide. Wanting to sample ‘genuine Britisch food’ I opted for the fish and chips with mint peas. To accompany this dish I ordered a Rekorderlig Cider, Strawberries & Lime. We were seated at the high tables near the bar, but you can also choose to sit at a regular table in the back. The staff is very helpful, and courteous, and we really could relax a bit before our 10 hour flight. Unfortunately they don’t show the screens with flight information inside, so when we did finally leave the bar, we found out we had to run like madmen to catch our flight. luckily we did.

What to expect from an airport restaurant… fast service, alcohol and decent food. This place delivers on all fronts in a pretty good fashion. Wasn’t so hungry so grabbed calamari. It came overcooked, but still okay. I didn’t really mind to be honest. My buddies seemed pleased with what they got and we were in and out just in time for our flight.

Loved this place. It was just what I needed that morning. Located in T3 or Heathrow, I was seated quickly, my server came over promptly, informed me that, yes, I could get a mimosa, and I included coffee and water in that order. She returned with speed, and I ordered the American breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and their version of bacon. American and British bacon are not the same thing, but it will do in a pinch. Everything was fast and tasty. The best part was the service. I wish I had gotten my server’s name. She was nice, fast, and had a great sense of humor. If I end up in this terminal again, I’ll definitely go back.

Had a pretty terrible burger here while waiting for a flight. It was clearly a low quality frozen patty and very tough. The fries weren’t bad and the price was reasonable. Service was fairly quick as well. If I find myself back in terminal 3 I don’t think I’d return.

I ate here twice in the last 2 days… First, dinner on Sunday night, and then after my flight was cancelled, breakfast Monday morning before my rebooked one. In both cases my goal was simple– get some eats and kill time before my flight. On both occasions, it did exactly this in fantastic fashion. Before I go any further, let me classify that above statement. Is this gourmet dining? Absolutely not. It’s an effing airport restaurant! What do you expect? However, it did a fine job of being just that. The most important part– the beer. They had many different ones available. I really enjoyed on of their«cask ales» I don’t quite remember which one I even had. I also had this Czech pilsner that was pretty good. Of course they have all the other classics too, including Guinness. Food was good. Again, I’ll reiterate. Airport food. I’m not looking to drop a hundo on an order of squid-ink pasta with platinum plated gold nuggets and caviar sauce(not like that’s even a real dish). But you know what I’m saying– it’s pub food; order a burger or fries… something like that. I had a lamb burger with a side salad; it was better than I expected. For breakfast the next morning, I just had simple, classic stuff any 4th grader could cook up. Nothing special, but it hit the spot. A word of advice though, the medium sized coffee is pretty damn large. Plan accordingly, especially if you have a flight to catch… «please take a moment to located the nearest restroom, and keep in mind it may be behind you…» All in all I give it 4 stars. Yeah, if I need to kill time at Heathrow, I’d go back.

Holy cow, who knew a meal at an airport restaurant could be this good? Not me, that’s for damn sure. My dad and I decided to stop into The Bridge Bar to eat because catching an international flight meant we had to get there wicked early, and we ended up having some time to kill. I will admit we largely chose this place for their beer menu at first. Their tap selection offers some good standbys and some really good beers, which is great. It means it’s at the very least a good place to stop for a drink before your flight, as there’s a spacious bar. When I got my menu, my eye caught the«simple plates» section and I saw they offered ham, egg, and chips(fries, to use Yanks). Loving all three of those things I thought sure, why not? It should fill me up at least. Holy s**t. Despite not being all that hungry, I wolfed that thing down in about ten minutes-two fried eggs served on a nice cut slab of ham. I couldn’t put my fork down, seriously. I think the fries were good too, but I can’t remember because I seem fixated on ham and eggs. I would’ve enjoyed it even if it were green. I really hope I can return to London someday, and when I’m in the airport, I’ll be back at The Bridge Bar.

Rarely do I review a place that I haven’t actually eaten at but this situation was ridiculous and I feel must be mentioned. I don’t think they deserve business when their service is quite that bad. Technically, we «went» here twice the other day. Around 1:30 we walked in and sat down in the seating area. We had tons of time to kill so were in no rush, but when no one came up to us after about 12 minutes started looking around confusedly and trying to get someone’s attention. No luck. Around 1:50 we were so annoyed that we left and found an empty seating area on the other side of the terminal to nap in. Around 2:40 we were done with the naps and somehow decided to go back. I wanted to punish them for having such terrible service in the first place but my colleague wanted to try one more time. We went back into the restaurant and sat down. First bad sign: the old dishes that had been sitting at our original table when we came in the first time were still sitting there, not cleared. We were at the edge of our seats trying to signal a waiter for about 10 minutes. FINALLY I managed to catch a waiters eye contact. He nodded at me as if he was coming right away and then disappeared for 3 minutes. When he emerged from the kitchen I managed to make eye contact with him again and gave him a nasty look. This time he came over to the table. He seemed annoyed to have to be coming over to us and explained that we had to go to the bar to order because he was taking a break. And then he put on his jacket and left. I KNOW this is not the policy because I had now sat in that restaurant for a total of about 40 minutes and saw the waiters taking orders at some of the tables around us. And we were not the only people who were not getting service — we had a nice conversation with the other two tables next to us and everyone was very angry about being ignored. DONOT go here. They should be punished for having such little regard for their customers. If you keep going through the shopping area you will find a FANTASTIC bar called the Tin Goose — they have a good beer menu, decent food and very friendly and prompt service. Never going here again.

Nice comfy noisy setting. Server was friendly and cheerful. Breakfast until 11. Plenty of tables for single travelers. Giant cup of coffee. I had the Bridge Grande. Reasonably priced at 8.75. An oasis at Heathrow if you’ve got time to kill. Kid friendly.

Not a bad spot to kill time, eat some decent food(their tikka masala is half decent), and throw back a pint or two. Not the greatest but certainly gets my nod in Terminal 3.

All the particulars of culinary class are here: over-priced food, haughty service and small but well plated offerings. WAWHAAA! Sorry folks this is airport food, pub grub disguised as classy gastro fare. There is nothing wrong with the Bridge. My pasta was tasty and the portion size was ok. My companion’s meals were a little less inspiring, again, nothing bad just not great. Décor and space wise, there are plenty of tables and the atmosphere is warm, welcoming and homely. For a relatively quick stop for some hearty food, the Bridge Bar is cool.

This is probably as good as any place to grab a bite to eat if you have some time to spend in Terminal 3. TIME is the key here, as when I placed our order they told me that the food would take ½ hour to prepare and deliver to us(people DO have to catch planes here, don’t they?), and, indeed, it did take ½ hour. We had the Classic Brunch Bap(a sandwich with bacon, egg, sausage & tomato) and the Ham & Cheese Croissant. Both were filling and adequate, but nothing fantastic. Poor presentation; nothing else at all on the plate. But, it’s a place to sit down, eat & chill, which is what we did…
