Great coffee, good bites. The latte is just right amount of roast and caffeine. And the bites are just about ok and not overpriced like Starbucks. I don’t know if I understand the concept of coffee from sustainable sources but Costa’s banners have been all about that lately

Picked this spot over the dining Restaurant. Loved it. Coffee is really good. Hot sandwitch /panini is well done. To top it all, get a superb view of planes taking off.

You see that case out front with pre-made sandwiches? Don’t be afraid. The fine folks at Costa Coffee will take the sandwich of your choice and whisk it in the back for a quick grill on the panini press. You’ll get your sandwich back within 5 minutes crisped to perfection, cheese oozing from the sides of the toasty bread. You won’t even need to add salt or pepper. If you’re a glutton who picks up a second sandwich for the plane ride home, they’ll pack it nicely for you in a cardboard sleeve after cooking it up. The espresso was rich and strong, and helped me get back onto a semi-normal time table on my return flight home. The seating here was terrible, but as far as food and drink is concerned, I have no complaints. For an inexpensive airport meal, Costa Coffee is pretty hard to beat.

This Costa Coffee has the best view in London because from here I see my lovely girlfriend arriving home every time she travels on business :)

Waiting for a late flight? Or just finished dropping someone off? Either way, Costa is the landside coffee spot in Terminal 4 at the Arrivals Hall. Sit and watch the crowds full of taxi and limo drivers waiting to pick people up or the excited people meeting family. Plenty of tables and chairs, many of which have a nice view of the Arrivals door. If you’re waiting, pick one or two people to watch and see if you can guess who they’re meeting. Grandparents? Children? Brothers or sisters? Yeah, it’s not the most fun game but hey, when you are already here and the flight you’re meeting is an hour late, what else is there to do?
