Thai Elephant

Thai Elephant infuses a lot of sensations. Visually, the atmosphere is stunning. Decorated with green plants, Asian art and teakwood furniture, the décor is absolutely beautiful. I’m also very impressed with their take out or dine in service. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to take your order without interrupting your meal a dozen times while enjoying your food.
I’m a bit of a prat, in that, I typically like ordering red curry from every Thai place I frequent. I think this is my way of testing the quality of the Thai establishment! So, Thai Elephant was no exception. The red sauce was very creamy, tasting of coconut milk, coriander and chocked full of veggies: aubergines, mushrooms, and my personal preference of chicken (or shrimp). Very tasty indeed!
We also tried a few appetizers. They were a bit small and overpriced, but didn’t lack on flavour. I say, skip them unless you go as a group and can split the costs.

Can’t agree I’m afraid — my meal was bland and overpriced. The satay tasted microwaved and leaked yellow oil. Not very pleasant.

I was only here the other night celebrating a friends birthday! The service and staff are AMAZING and the foodeven better!
The choice of food is limitless, and the way it is presented. WOW! Limited on the type of drinks they have but the Thai beer is delicious!
It’s an intimate venue but has that authentic Thai feel due to the staff and the décor.
I would recommend ordering a few dishes and sharing them between the group as there is too much choice and you’ll be hard pushed to pick just one dish to have! The value for money is first-​rate

The Thai Elephant serves, as the name suggests, Thai food (but not Elephants). It does this very well. The buffet menu is great value for money and offers a selection of tasty dishes, including soup and pudding. Everything I’ve eaten has been very good indeed and actually I’m salivating a little now just thinking about it. To cap it off, the food is served in beautiful surroundings — each table is intricately carved with Thai scenes, and there is a veritable forest of plants decorating the place. The staff are quiet but helpful. Highly recommended.
