Bar Fibre

Well, this place is ok in my view but that’s more due to personal preference of venues rather than there being something wrong with it!
It’s very much a younger trendy crowd on the evening, and anywhere that requires a door host is a little off putting to me.
The décor is very stylish & classy, and the majority of the staff are really friendly — but be warned that there’s a lot of stairs to get up to the (unisex) toilets!
All that said — they do £2 drinks until 5pm, then its 241 drinks until 9pm — and that’s every day!

Roll up, roll up. If you want some top notch drink promotions and some fresh tunes from Monday through to Saturday, Bar Fibre has got to be worth a shout.
As with all bars in the know these days, you can get a cheeky glass of Champagne by the glass. It’s a must for any would be Sex and the City lover. All with plenty of change from a tenner too. Drinks are pretty much on a par with many of the other good venues across the city too and the food is pizza all the way. Good stuff for a pre Saturday filler.
For me, Fibre is a pre-​club/​bar destination. Not your final resting place on a hectic weekend (or mid-​week) but a good place to hang out with friends and get a good dose of music as your audio backdrop. You’ll mainly get funky, uplifting and vocal house with a smattering of electro thrown in. Ideal to get your dancing pants warmed up and ready to be unleashed.
The other main pull is their BOGOF deal across the board. Yes siree that means all drinks are buy one get one free from 5 till 8pm through the week. Bargain-​tastic.

Situated next to Queens Court and with alcohol prices to match, Fibre is a decent enough bar in Leeds gay district. Very stylish décor, popular music and comfy furnishings this place is probably nicer during the day as it is when packed at the weekend evenings.
Definitely worth having a look if you don’t mind the odd cheesy anthem and a friendly atmos!

Now, it might be just me, but if I was planning on opening a too-​cool-​for-​school bar so kitschily exclusive I planned on bunging a white baby grand and gold candelabra in the window, I wouldn’t place it on a street best known for its adult shops and ‘gentleman’s clubs’. Judging by the crowds, this doesn’t seem to bother the clientele much, and if posing, air kissing and ‘dressing to impress’ (or freezing half to death in miniskirts and strappy tops) is your thing I’m sure you’ll love it here — if you manage to get past the famously choosy door staff. Inside the décor is fun enough, with a nice patio area for smokers, but you can never quite shake off the feeling of constantly being judged, and as such any opportunity to truly let your hair down is taken away. Definitely one for the fashionistas, and although anyone else might feel an initial buzz at being allowed through the hallowed doors, once that wears off you’re left with an overpriced bar, a self-​conscious crowd and a mediocre DJ.

There are a lot of wannabies, and pouting, but mostly it is full of happy fun loving people, and the music on a weekend is awesome!

I first visited this place when it opened around 5 or 6 years ago, and can happily say it changes with the times. Every visit theres a different window display outlining upcoming events and the inside is plush. You can now sit on the first floor balcony and overlook the courtyard below, a great place for people watching. Best time to go is Happy Hour from 5pm when drinks offers including 2 for 1’s are great value for money. Really relaxed chilled out atmosphere.

Einer der angesagtesten schwulen Clubs (bei geringer Auswahl) in Leeds.
Spass und Gute Musik über 2 Ebenen, mit Galerie und sehr schönem großen Balkon in einen Innenhof.
Ausstattung sehr edel und sehr gemütlich mit Couchecke und mehreren Bars. Die Musik ist immer gut und das Publikum feiert das auch auf allen Ebenen.
Die Getränkekarte lässt kaum einen Wunsch offen.
Zu empfehlen sind auch die vielen Motto Partys. und nicht von den Türstehern abschrecken lassen.
Ein MUSS ist der besuch der Unisex Toilette im 3. Stockdie muss man gesehen haben. Eine Beschreibung reicht nicht aus allein deswegen lohnt sich ein Besuch.
Preise wie in GB üblich.dafür ist der Service (hinter der Bar) sehr gut.
Geht hin und wenns nur wegen der Toilette ist.

During the day this slylish bar has a great food menu. Later on in the night the place gets full with all the trendiest LGBT people of leeds with fantastic dj’s playing the latest tunes through the night

I haven’t been to Fibre in years, mostly because a skanky ex-​boyfriend apparently frequents it regularly (perhaps he’s hiding something?), and also because I am not that good at air-​kissing and sometimes I simply don’t feel fabulous enough to fit in.

I always have a fab night out when I go to Fibre, its cool and funky and a great place to go for a good old dance. Its also nice to go after work and sit out in the courtyard with the twinkly lights. If you get chance get yourself to the Bank Holiday courtyard parties as they are always a riot but get there early as it always gets packed!

i love fibre– a great atmosphere and great drinks. the music is fab and the staff are friendly! go early as it gets busy! can’t recommend Fibre enough.
