My wife and I nipped in for a bite over the weekend as we’ve been wanting to try the place for a while. We quickly hopped on their 2 mains, 2 sides, and 2 drinks for £14.50 offer. The ambiance was fine, it was pretty busy and a bit loud but the staff were friendly and quick to meet any need you might have. The food took a bit longer than we expected but that’s actually a reassuring thing at a restaurant that seems to toe the line between fast food and sit-down restaurant. When our food arrived it was packaged in very familiar chinese takeout boxes that I’m used to seeing in the states but so rarely come accross here in the UK. They had chopsticks, which I love to use, and seemed to have everything I’d expect from a decent chinese restaurant(though they serve thai, malay, and other cuisines as well). Our food was tasty if not mindblowing. Much better than I’ve had from any takeaway and a few buffets as well, especially the meat which was great. Next time I think I’d try the teriyaki chiken but I enjoyed my chili noodles. Overall, a pretty decent option if you’re looking for good food fast in the City Centre. And, if there are two of you, it’s only slightly more than a McDonalds so definitely give it a shot!

I came here with around six friends for lunch one day, and I had the chow mein which was delicious! We all had a go with the authentic chopsticks, and I seemed to be the only one who could keep going with them! A lot of fun and great quality food, could have done with a smaller portion for less cost because I had to bin the half I couldn’t eat. I’ve read the other reviews, about a smell, which I completely disagree with. The whole restaurant was spotless, plenty of seating, and as it was a slow day, the manager came out for a chat which made it ever more pleasant. Would recommend!

Came across this place while looking for a quick bite to eat. Very impressed with the quality of the food. The only downside was it did take a little long for is to be served(and we were pushed for time). Nevertheless, a great service. The EducateFirst Team

I have been coming here for years and my latest visit was not good! I went here in the midst of shopping and fancied some fast food before i braved tackling society again and figured it was pretty close and they have a good deal with noodles and beer for £6ish, which is perfect. However…, upon arriving what i thought may have been a smelly customer transcended into an over flowing toilet which smell polluted every inch of my senses. Believe me when i say had a clicked on to this fact earlier i would have left immediately. However, i didnt notice perhaps blinded by previous good experiences with the place which have now been destroyed! I ordered the spicy mix noodle box which is basically spiced beef and chicken with noodle veg and a spicy sauce, which is usually really enjoyable. Perhaps due to the saturation of sh*t in the air this didnt taste too good at all. This is only hear say but friends have said they have noted similar problems before and even rodent issues from leaving the back exit open. All in all if you like to spend your time in sub terrain pipes, even perhaps have four legs and a long tail and a pon shon for oriental food, you are going to be as happy as a rat in a sewer eating noodles here!

I love this place! Was in Leeds visiting friends and we would always go here. Food cooked before your eyes, nice selection to choose from or customise your meal. Staff are pretty relaxed even when it’s very busy. Will be back when i’m in Leeds. Open one down here

The place looks nice on the outside. Prices are good as well. Unfortunately the taste was quite horrible! Portion of Nasi Gorang rice was tasteless and watery. No real spices added. Teriyaki Beef noodles quite fatty and very very chewy. Not very good but better than the rice! One to avoid.

Wokon(I think) is exclusive to Leeds at the moment, but that probably won’t be the case for long. Wokon offers a selection of noodle and soup dishes, along with side dishes and meal deals. Everything is cooked to order so whether you’re eating in or out you know the meal is fresh and hot. The absolute best thing about Wokon is the portion sizes. This may be a little ill-judged from a business perspective, or maybe my girlfriend and I don’t eat a lot, but one box of Noodles with a couple of sides is by far enough for two! And at a fiver a box you can’t go wrong. The menu is good, some may find a little restrictive but you can make your own meal based on their selection of ingredients. Overall Wokon is a great little noodle bar that also do deliveries to the Leeds area. Recommended.

One of the best places in Leeds to eat. Cheap, fresh food, good portions. Great if you’re looking for somewhere to eat with friends and have a catch up, with a really relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. There are set meals you can choose from or you can mix and match your own — choose your own noodles, vegetables, meat and sauce. The meal for two they do is good also — two starters, 2 main meals, 2 drinks and prawn crackers for just under £13, which I think is great. I would recommend this place to everyone!

we called in this place for a quick bite and couldn’t beleive what good value it was. the food is prepared fresh and you have so much choice and variety you cant go wrong, the portions are a very good size for the price you pay. they even have(or had) an offer for 2 starters, 2 mains drinks and prawn crackers that did me and my girlfriend great. definetly a good place for a quick lunch if your in town, not the sort of place you’d got for an evening out. very tasty and filling, i’m defo going back.
