This place is ok I suppose for a cheap cut. The barber did a decent enough job of my hair. Better than some places. It isn’t the friendliest though, sort of like how many of these cheap barbers are. Whilist I was getting my hair cut my barber was talking to someone in some foreign language I wasn’t sure of. Pretty rude IMO. You should be either involving the client in the convo as well or paying attention to the client! You don’t expect too much in these sorts of places though. Overall: it’s ok for as cheap barbershops go. Just don’t expect the best job you’ve ever seen!

The first time I saw this shop, it made me chuckle. Situated up the upper section of Leeds Kirkgate Market, it looked exactly like the barbers out of a Mr Bean episode, something I watched religiously during my formative years. He poses as a barber for a few hours, obviously with hilarious consequences. Or so I thought at the time. Gallery Barbers has huge black and white images of dated models, interspersed with ones they clearly consider to be more contemporary to attract the masses. A friend of mine visits this stall every couple of months. He is from a no nonsense, no faffing, no pampering school of thinking, and physically recoils in horror when I inform him of how much I have paid for haircuts in the past. This shop offers hair cuts at the lowest price that I am aware of. At £10 for a man and £7 for a woman, quibble with the amount, you could not. The staff all seem very friendly, so if you are looking for barbers with modest roots and unbelievably good value, Gallery Barbers is definitely the one to visit.
