Hob Salon

I booked an appointment after reading other reviews. I am really nervous about having my hair cut but put myself in the hands of Adam who wanted to style my hair to embrace its natural style. After years of battling with my long bob I now have the best haircut I have ever had! I have had loads of compliments on the style (taken years off you etc), and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to upgrade their look.

Just a quick update to say, I went back to see the fabulous Rosie, and have my hair re-​dyed as per our original plans. I wasn’t sure whether to bother, since even though I’d wanted it darker it did look amazing, but come the day I just went for it. I’d spoken to the salon and mentioned that I’d only planned to come back as the colour wasn’t quite what I’d wanted from the original appointment and the manager assured me we’d sort out some kind of arrangement.
So, after a bit of a catch up with Rosie (who’s just lovely, seriously) we got the plan sorted for darker dye and everything went underway. As per usual I was plied with magazines and coffees once settled in and all we had to do was wait for it to develop.
The results were magnificent, and once again each member of staff I encountered did a fabulous job. I had it styled wonderfully afterwards and to my delight, upon prising out my card to make a second payment (dreading it might be close to the cost of the first appointment) the chap announced it literally came to £10 for the blowdry. I was totally delighted, especially since it was another complete dye –I mean, it was because the first time round we didn’t get it quite right, but even so to just pay for the blowdry was amazing.
I can’t say I’ll be back *too* often for an entire cut and dye job as I couldn’t afford the whole hog every time, but I’ll definitely be returning, that’s for sure.
Basically, the staff are great and it’s been a pleasure. They talk everything through, make sure you won’t get an allergic reaction to the dyes, provide a lovely atmosphere and essentially do a bang-​up job. Forgive the pun! They’ve also a number of other non-​hair related treatments, so definitely check them out for a first class pamper. Highly recommend.

Hob Salons is relatively new on the Leeds hairdressing scene as it opened in September last year. The staff are lovely and welcoming and you also get the feeling that everyone is really into what they’re doing. The salon is modern without being pretencious and it has a buzz about it. I was so pleased with my hair and will definately be going back. If you are looking for an alternative to the usual hair salons in Leeds than this is the place to go.
