I have loved this place for many years, even before moving to Leeds permanently. It is perfect for coffees with friends during the day AND as a late night eatery. I always forget about it because of where it is situated, but when I go back I totally remember why I love it so much. The variety of food is second to none and the staff are friendly and happy to recommend things if you’re not sure. I adore the hummus salad and falafel. It is amazing and what better way to end a night than to get yummy Moroccan food to keep your spirits up?! They have a sweet little terrace out the back for you to enjoy shisha in. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. It’s delish!

I’ve been back, and despite promising myself that I’d try the tea, I failed to arrive early enough to do so. It’s fine though, as we arrived in good time to grab a late night bite and a shisha. We grabbed an apple juice from the fridge, ordered chicken, houmous, mushroom and cheese sandwiches, and sat in the outdoor area to await the food and the shisha. I can’t recall which flavour I chose, but have to say, it was delightful –fruity, sweet and lovely!(Of course, that’s if you’re a fan of shisha.) The sandwiches came promptly, and were simply delicious. The chicken was cooked beautifully, the toasted bread was stuffed to the brim with fresh houmous, mushrooms and melted cheese and the plate came with a helping of salad to eat alongside the sarnie. Incredible! The space is fabulous too; when you enter, it feels like you’ve gained access to a secret club, where only a select savvy few know it exists. Despite the main shop being empty, we walked in to find a lively hub of folk, all with the same great idea to side-step the noise of Leeds City Centre. The staff are really accommodating, regardless if you’re a little wobbly, and it makes for an excellent little hide away from the busy late night streets of Leeds. Given that it’s two minutes away from most of the bars along Call Lane, it’s the perfect spot to soak up some booze with their varied edibles, relax with friends and escape the rowdiness of town. The best bit? The food is practically take away prices, with none of the awful grease –now that’s worth knowing. Yes, sometimes, all you want is an awful kebab, but for those who don’t have such a calling come 1am, there’s Kadas. Hidden, tasty, friendly and just really flippin’ cool. Get involved.

We dropped in here for a coffee after completing the Leeds Owl Trail around the town centre, and it made for a pleasant end to the afternoon. There was quite a few of us, so we took over the upstairs seating area — unfortunately wasn’t aware until we were leaving that they also have an outside patio area — which was ok, I guess it would be better if there was more comfortable seating! Prices are very reasonable though, and this will probably attract me to go back again — less than £3 for coffee & a cake!

Kada’s lounge is the sort of place you can go anytime of the day, particularly at the weekend. What was once(before the ban) a sheisha café, it made a relaxing place to stop of for a drink and a bite to eat, and perhaps a little bit of flavoured tobacco to help one drift off and imaginge they were somewhere far, far away… and that it wasn’t raining. It still is a great place to go, just slotted in beside the Corn Exchange, it makes a change to going shopping in the day and having a McDonalds or a Gregs to keep you on your feet. They serve up a selection of fresh humous, and other mezze to dig your teeth into, as well as ciabatta sarnies, and the option of a slice o’ cake. The best part about Kada’s is that it stays open so late on a weekend, making it a lesser known spot offering a healthier alternative to a greasey pizza and other fast food favourites, when the hunger grabs you at 3am. Why not walk home with a falafel, humous, feta and olive salad? You might get a few odd looks, but hey, think of it as a premature aid to your post-night rehabillitation– that is just as enjoyable as the fatty alternative.

I love Kada’s. Its cheap and delicious and you don’t get the post pizza /doner guilt the morning after. Always busy as the bars kick out the staff are so friendly. I always have chicken, peppers, cheese and humus flatbread, but I’m told the kofte is amazing aswell.

Between my friends and I, I think we were the most consistent at spending our hard earned money in this establishment. Love the place — staff are friendly, the new make over was well needed and now it looks so much more refreshing and clean. Serving shisha pipes outside now — not the best in Leeds now as too much competition. Still worth a visit if passing.
