Yeah I love going to Latte Lounge! It’s such a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and my favourite thing to get is the cheesecake, the ingredients and flavours are always really delicious and ones I don’t find anywhere else, you can’t beat homemade deserts! I had a chocolate and vanilla one the other day and got as much cream and extra sauce with it as I wanted! I’m definately going to try one of the huuuge chorizo and chicken sandwiches next: D:D

Lovely little café, I popped in for lunch with my friends. We had delicious sandwiches –there were loads to choose from; I must come again to try the meatball hot panini! Going by the name I had a latte and it was made perfectly, the coffee had lovely flavour. If you are a coffee lover like me, you wont find better coffee elsewhere! –Especially not in a large chain shop! There were plenty of delicious looking cakes to tempt me and I struggled to choose just one! I had chocolate and hazelnut cheesecake which was made by the owner, and it was yummy! They also have very comfy chairs and I could easily have ‘lounged’ there all day!

Popped in here a few times whilst house hunting at the estate agents next door and it’s a super little coffee house. All the food looked very fresh and there is a great menu of light meals and snacks with plenty of naughty looking home made cheesecakes and muffins. Last trip I had a really lovely chicken, chorizo and cheese pannini followed by a biiig slice of chocolate cheesecake(with rocky road ice cream… yum!) The staff are always friendly and helpful and it’s nice to be able to modify your choice according to preference. All in all, a great spot for a good coffee, lunch or treat and for those of us that like a smoke/people watch, there’s a nice deck out front for use when the Leeds weather is being kind!

This lovely little café is situated just a tiny weensy bit down from the main shopping area of Chapel Allerton, on Harrogate Road. I know that one of the more obvious choices to drink a coffee and watch the world go by might be Seven Arts or Caffe Nero, if you’re really quite standard, but might I suggest you give this sweet little independent venue a chance? I am certain you’ll agree it’s worth it. I was coming back from work on one of my half days and happened to get off a stop early. I panicked, forgetting how soon the stop was coming, and so had to walk up the hill past the Lidl. I decided to treat myself to a nice coffee and a cake, since I had only stopped off here to pick up my boots from the cobblers. Latte Lounge ahoy! It looked fair enough, so I popped in. Immediately a friendly local and the owner/manager(?) both smiled and commented on how they had *just* been having a conversation about digital SLRs and promptly gestured to the one hanging around my neck. I smiled and the three of us had a mini-chat about cameras whilst I picked my cake. I went for my usual, cappucinno, and accompanied this with a slice of toffee cake. Mmm mmm, what a choice. I don’t think my mouth could have been more pleased! Nor my stomach, for that matter, it was just what I needed to keep me going until tea time. The coffee was delicious and served with all the warmth and pleasure of a friendly smile and bit of banter, which is always a winner. I joined my new local friend, and old chap whose name I never caught, and we proceeded to discuss SLRs at length whilst I dispatched my yummy toffee cake. Incidentally, they were at the time ‘buy one get one free’, which I neglected to take advantage of sadly. However, for £1.50 that means TWO delicious slices of toffee cake, or what ever other choice takes your fancy! Apparently people keep asking to buy the toffee cake as a whole too; if that isn’t testament to a good cake I don’t know what is! The décor was relaxing, with squishy cosy chairs, sofas, and nice tables. The whole vibe was really friendly and relaxed and of course, always worth a mention, the loos were in great condition! Heh heh. That’s an important one for me, I must say. They sell all standard café items, coffees, teas, fruit teas, cans of drink, juices, milkshakes and more. They also serve breakfast — tea and a bacon sarnie is only £2.85, so I’d get down there for brekkie some time! Mind you, with the full breakfast only costing £3.80 odd, why not go the whole hog? All in all I found it an absolute joy to stop by. Friendly management, great quality food and a pleasant atmosphere. Win!
