Its hard to find a decent inland chip shop where the fish tastes as good as the sea side and this is definatley 1 of them, the service is very friendly and and the food is great value for money at £3.80 for a good size portian of fish and chips where as most chippys tend to charge £4.50 or more for a scabby fish and chips that taste horrible. The fish is put in the fryer as soon as you order it instead of getting 1 thats been keeping warm for however long the only down side is that they dont leave the skin on the fish but it still tastes good even without it. I would highly recomend this chip shop and i go here quite often on my lunch break as its only down the road.

The shops on this parade seem to be forever changing hands, but Mr Fish has been there for quite a while if I remember rightly. Surprisingly, given the amount of takeaways on this street, this is the only fish and chip shop(unless you count Tracy’s Plaice way down the other end) on the main road. Because of this, and the fact that it was jammed full of locals and students when I went in, I assumed it would be something special. Unfortunately, perhaps due to the Friday night rush of business, I was left slightly disappointed — I ordered just chips and scraps, and was served rather slowly for such a simple order. When I eventually got it, the food was edible but by nothing to write home about… perhaps my expectations were just too high.
