I took the kids here after we went to the cinema. I am normally edgy about going to restaurants on a Complex site and my fears were unfortunately quite right here. We waited at the till to be seated a waitress came up and said ‘what do you want?’ which was a bizarre way to introduce herself. I said ‘we’d like a table’ and she said ‘you have to wait by the till’ which is where we were standing. Eventually we we waved to a table and handed menus. My kids are 13, 11 and 9 and none of them were given childrens menus. We asked and a waiter produced a single kids menu which they had to share. We ordered and the food arrived(it was fine — classic Pizza Hut stuff), except they had somehow forgotten about my youngest’s order. That arrived 15 minutes later(admittedly with an apology), by which time a lot of the other food had been eaten, so she ate alone looking very self-conscious. The last straw was getting the bill — that took an age to get and then another age for them to take the money. We ended up all standing by the door and waiting for them to let us pay. The food was fine but the service absolutely awful. All in all a miserable experience and one I won’t repeat.

I never thought I would be reviewing a Pizza Hut, let alone, a Pizza Hut located in Leeds, UK but here I am doing just that… The first thought that ran through my head when someone suggested Pizza Hut was … «really???» I’ve heard of Pizza Huts being amazing outside of the US and I swallowed my American pride and stepped foot in the Pizza Hut across the street from Hollywood Bowl. I LOVEDIT! The customer service was spot-on with a few mishaps here and there but overall, the dining experience was very enjoyable. The pizza was better and the salad bar offerings were good. They have unlimited soda refills and at a small cost, unlimited frozen yogurt as well. Unlimited anything is great in my book! What can I say… I’m now a believer and will try not to judge a book by its cover again!

We went here the other day to use the sneaky 50% discount voucher that circulated round work, and it was a bit of a mixed bag. The décor was nice and modern but the floor was covered in straws, napkins, bits of food and dirt, and our table was sticky. The blinds were really dusty and it just felt unclean. Having said that, the staff were friendly and helpful, despite the people at the table next to us being super stroppy and trying to get their meal for free because it was cold. Funny how they still managed to eat it all, though My original 2 orders weren’t available(goat’s cheese salad, warm chicken and bacon salad), so I had a chicken caesar, which was tasty, and the pizza my boyfriend had was dead nice. I was particularly impressed that the watiress immediately knew to say ‘would you like it boxed up?’ when she came to collect our plates and saw how much pizza was left over. I’d go here again, but probably not on a Saturday afternoon when it’s full of children’s parties, and I’d hope that it was a bit cleaner next time. PS Refillable pop rules.
