I love the arcades in Leeds, and the Queens Arcade is no exception. With an array of cool independent shops within, it makes for a great little browse. You’ll find an array of great jewellery shops inside, amongst other things, but my absolute favourite has to be Pickles and Potter. If you want a great coffee, the best brownie you ever had, and some delightful lunch then this is the place to go in the centre. It still surprises me that not more people know about it! All in all, Queens Arcade has a great selection of shops and should always be on the list for gift shopping, browsing and such like. Check it out as it’s a gorgeous little arcade in Leeds.

In Leeds city centre there are number of really nice arcades that are just like indoor streets and each has its own unique atmosphere and identity. They are a far cry from other ugly shopping centres in the town often housing smaller and unique shops. Queens Arcade has a more indoor feel than some of the others, maybe because it has tiling rather than paving on the floor. This arcade specialises in jewelry shops with Aladdin’s Cave, Maya, Pandora all on one street. It is also home to Mary Shortle’s, a rather bizarre specialist shop selling every kind of doll or teddy bear one could imagine. The attractive décor makes the arcade nicer to walk through than the street and is very handy in the wet weather!
