Lots of rave reviews here and I’m left wondering if these people have ever been to the Wetherby Whaler (quite frankly the best fish & chip shop in the world)?
I found the food I ordered at the Skyliner to be distinctly below average. So no ‘best in Yorkshire’ plaudits from me I’m afraid. The fish was dripping in grease and the chips were severely undercooked. I will say that my special haddock (although a small portion) was good quality fish, but it was let down by all the grease. The chips needed to be cooked for MUCH longer. I’ve been twice now and the food was the same on both occasions, so it wasn’t a one-​off. The one bonus is that they do gluten free fish’n’chips whenever they’re open, and not just at certain times during the week. More chippies should adopt this régime.

When it comes to fish and chips I’m a bit of a traditionalist (out of newspaper on the way home from the pub) but I do, occasionally, avail myself of the ‘dine in’ option and that option at Skyliner is jolly nice.
For a reasonable price I got a large portion of well cooked food served by smiling staff in a clean pleasant environment.
I was delighted to hear that Skyliner will be serving gluten free fish and chips (and bread) on the first Monday of every month. We will, most definitely, be back

took my daughter on the last two occassions i stopped here, she was blown away [she is a fitness trainer and normally steers clear of fish and chips], the best fish and chips in leeds no make that yorkshire, brilliant friendly service, plenty of «scraps» if you like them, great sized fish and plenty of chips.

My local fish and chip shop — and I thank my lucky stars every time I go in because the food is great!
Plenty of parking right outside, helpful staff and quick service.
The specials are just big enough to leave you stuffed, without feeling sick :-) Perfect.
There’s a little seating area with table service too, but I never ate in there. They cook the food in the same place though, so I’m sure it’s great.

Twice in the last month I have been here. Both times coming here my order has been taken of the staff here quickly. Also their service is good as they speak in a polite manner here to. They give the food to customers quickly here and make sure the food is fresh. The quality of their fish is very rich and tasty. So far no oily food given to me at all. They charge 3.50 now for a portion of fish and chips.

I use this place regularly and have never been disappointed
