Came here on thursday for the first time. For a buffet the dining area was very pleasant. The staff were efficient and friendly. The poster advertises indian. Chinese, thai and itallian. Hybby and u indulged in a variety of indian dishes, all the food was fresh and tasty. On the italian side you could have your pizza cooked fresh with your choice of ingredients. My main complaint is that there was only ine thai dish and no chinese. Again, unusual for a buffet, the desserts were gorgeous. Ranging from fresh fruit, cakes and gateaux to a chocolate fountain. A pleasant evening, quality food, as much as you can eat for £12.00.

Having been to a couple all you can eat’s in Leeds I can honestly say this is my favourite. It may not have the greatest selection but the quality is far better than that of its competitors in my opinion. The Stir fry sections where it is cooked in front of you and you get to pick the ingredients and the sauce is fantastic, the selection of currys goes past that of your standard tikka and korma and lets you at least experiment with more traditional ones but don’t expect Sheesh Mahal standard. ha But the fact you can order fresh naans, rotis and chapatis just adds it. The great pizza bar and the awesome starter section top it off. Having a chocolate fountain and ice cream bar doesn’t hurt either. Well worth a shot if you haven’t been. Can get very busy I have been lucky and only been when it’s quiet.

The basic concept behind this place is Indian/Italian/Chinese/English cuisine all in one place … Help yourself … Eat as much as you want. The buffet stations are laid out in the centre of the restaurant in a big loop with chefs standing inside cooking some of the dishes fresh to order(choose your preferred ingredients for a stir fry or create your own pizza for example). It’s a great idea if you’re in a group with lots of people with different tastes but something seems lacking. It’s not that it’s bad it’s just not that great. I think Spice Quarter has suffered since the arrival of Red Hot Buffet … it doesn’t really keep up in terms of range, décor or value for money. Having said that it’s still decent enough and probably easier to get a table here than at Spice Quarter and downstairs is Spice Bar which has a decent and reasonably priced cocktail selection and great belly-dancing/Arabic music nights sometimes.

For an all you can eat this is a nice place the staff were great and checked everything out to ensure it was gluten free and most of the food is, it’s a very noisy atmosphere with loud music and generally crowded so conversation resorts to yelling and shoving, the food(To say its an all you can eat) was nice not the best but quantity not quality, plus their is chocolate fondu you can’t go wrong. Overall its a nice lets fill our bellies with ok food with good service but very noisy crowded atmosphere. (Review based on 3 visits)

Bearing in mind, we visited on a cold, rainy Monday night, it was very quiet when we went. For us, this was a good thing, service was instant, the food was fresh, oh so fresh, nothing like takeaway food! We used the local taste card which gave us two for one on the meal but to be fair, the price was fine anyway £12.95 per person for all you can eat starters, mains and desserts, drinks were average price and it made more sense to buy a larger sized beer for not much more that the smaller bottle. We had the opportunity to create our own stir-fry or curry and have it cooked fresh for us, but unfortunately we were pushed for time. This at least gives us an excuse to revisit! They have a chocolate fountain but the fruit to go with it was limited. Overall, the starters and mains were better than the desserts, but, it’s good quality, being used to standard buffets of cold, congealed and over boiled food it was very refreshing to discover that buffet can mean hot, fresh and delicious!

Experience the world… and a chocolate fountain. For the size of the place i feel i have to concede. We got a seat fairly easily and there was a lot of choice. I particularly remember the Asian foods selection being fairly honest to foods i remember from my travels. But when your competing with Leeds other buffet restaurants, size really does matter. Its a little cramped in Spice Quarter and you can’t help but feel, though the food works out a good deal, your being robbed blind every time you order a drink. I was very enamoured with the chocolate fountain of course, as were we all. It wasn’t until the next say when all those who had taken a dip(so to speak) came together to commiserate their decision. Of course i suppose this is more a criticism of the table manners of my fellow guests than the restaurant itself, i can’t help but feel it added to my taking against them. The service essentially ended at seating us. We went hunting for drinks and for food, and became quite efficient at it i must admit. But thinking of other buffets i have tried in this same city i think Spice Quarter has a way to go before it will find me recommending it to others. A nice try but in the words of Jim Carey«I’ve had better».

Went for Saturday lunch with a Groupon voucher– recommended to book in but the place was very quiet. £6.95 is the usual price– we had £9 for 2 with a beer(Peroni!) We arrived at 1.45pm– food is served until 3pm. Most of what was on offer was only lukewarm really and a lot of the dishes were down to the scrapings of what was left even though there was a good hour to go in service. The curries were just sauce– the meat had been clearly picked out by previous diners and wern’t replenished at all while we were there. The serving spoons had dried/sticky food on them too. This is the 3rd time I have been here and only went due to the voucher. The food is ok if you want a variety and are not too fussed about quality. There is a good amount of choice and the best idea is the stir fry station for guaranteed freshness. The plates are taken away quickly and staff are attentive for drinks etc. The cleanliness is so-so, tables not cleaned very quick and I spied a few food remnants on the floor. There is no real ambiance as it’s very busy and I think the general feeling is eat all you want and get out. Won’t be going again in a hurry though as I agree with others, there are better buffet places around for a better(full) price.

£15 for all you can eat in the city centre will always be worth checking out, and there were one or two Chinese dishes which would be «above average» take-away quality. However, £15 can also get you full to bursting across the square at the Wetherspoons, which is of a similar quality but with a greater variety of dishes and beers. The long mixed cocktails make a decent accompaniment to your timed dining but unless you’re 1) on an 8 billion calorie bulk-out diet or 2) a fussy child, it’s hard to justify the price.

This restaurant is a great place to go with a group of people such as work do’s and Christmas parties. There’s a really good range of food and loads of different types such as italian, thai, indian etc. Whether or not this is a good thing or a bad thing really depends on what you’re after. If you have a lot of fussy eaters or a big group this is likely to cater for everyone. If you can all agree on a style of food you like, just go to that type of restaurant as the quality of food will be much higher. Spice quarter is reasonably priced and has a nice atmosphere and the next time there is a big group of us going out I’m sure we will come back here again.

a combination of chinese, indian, thai and italian dishes served buffet style with a set price and eat all you want boast. You are time limited and I’ve never seen a plate removed so fast which is probably how they make sure you don’t eat too much. I found the food to be somewhere between poor and average and, although I didn’t eat much I felt ill for quite a while afterwards. My advice is to decide what type of dish you like and then find a place elsewhere which specialises. There are better buffet deals in Leeds and cheaper than £14.95 per person.

At a glance this buffet restaurant serves a strange mix of Indian, Chinese, Italian and Thai dishes. Under one roof, all you can eat, full of any dish you can imagine, surely it doesn’t get much better than that? There’s even a chocolate fountain for desert! Are you kidding me? This place is just great. Before I moved to Leeds I had never in my wildest dreams experienced such a place. For starters I went around picking up spring rolls, garlic break etc and for main I had Chicken Tikka Masala, a mini pizza, which you custom make yourself! However, this is Spice Quarters’ downfall, I cant express how much this place puts quantity over quality. I was put off my food eating through the pieces of meat that were in my curry. I found myself having tastes of everything but never actually eating something whole. The place overall seems incredible and it is, only if say you just tried the chicken Tikka Masala for a main, you would be horrified and would not pay for it. I recommend this place as its fun, great for a group of friends and its one hell of a dining experience however the food actually isn’t that good and you’re just paying for the concept. Maybe I had a bad run, I might try it again, but I just know they put me off eating Chicken Tikka Masala for a while.

We had our Christmas party here and they were able to seat us on time and the service was excellent. I’ve since eaten here a few more times and the service is consistent and the food is always good. It can get busy if there are events in the city centre. The downstairs bar is also very nice and usually has a mellow but sociable crowd. I will also say the décor in both the bar and the restaurant is very nice and clean.

My husband introduced me to spice bar on a rare night out together. I liked the feel of the place it was decorated in what I would class as a north african/middle Easten style. I like the decoration but felt some peices could have done with a bit of revamp as it looked a wee bit tatty. Prices for drinks were reasonable for city centre in Leeds. They have a huge selection of cocktails to choice from although I imagine in peak times it may take a while to get served at the bar if they busy creating masterpiece cocktails. We didn’t have that trouble as we visited early on a fri evening. Also if the weather premits there is an outside seating area which is a great spot for people watching. Over all it would say its a nice bar for a relaxed drink with friends.

Spice Quarter trades a Chinese, Italian, Indian and Thai food cuisine. They mix the dishes all in one to make a feat fit for a king to eat. The idea is that there’s a buffet… a BIG buffet. And you go pick whatever you want, whenever you want. They even have chefs positioned at live cooking stations to cook fresh dishes that suit your tastes if you can’t find what you are looking for. At £12.95 each for the Evening buffet and £9.85 for the Lunch buffet, you can’t go far wrong. To say you can visit the buffet table as many times as your heart(or stomach) desires in one evening, this is a good deal!

I’d heard mixed reviews about this place before I went, but actually was pleasantly surprised. It serves pizza, pastas, curries kebabs, etc a huge choice of lots of different dishes. I was pleased with how good it was given that it serves so many different things, even if a little dubious to begin with. An all you can eat menu is served mainly which means that you can try lots of different dishes. Good value and average –to-good quality. Don’t expect to be blown away, but it’s a good little place

On entering this multi-national Buffet you are seated by a waiter and explained the concept of the restaurant. That various cuisines(Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian, East Mediterranean) are arranged around the room in Stations You can visit as many stations as many times as you want for a fixed price(£12.99 when we went) I liked this arrangement because it meant that I could eat the Indian food that I love and my wife could eat either Chinese or Italian because she cannot stand curries. The reality was a bit disappointing however. The range of Indian dishes was very poor Chicken Tikka Massala, Chicken Korma, lamb Balti. Also the Bhaji and Samosa starters tasted like they had been re-heated from lunchtime. The best element by far were freshly made Garlic nan breads that were cooked to order, so I filled up on those instead. My Wife enjoyed her Chinese dishes though. And the value was quite good for an all you can eat. When it comes to Indian Buffets in this area though, go to the Sunday buffet at the AAKASH in Cleckheaton.

Great if you can’t decide what to eathere you can have everything! The restaurant is based around a central square, which basically has a different cuisine on each side — Chinese, Italian and Indian. You just go up and pick what you like — some of it, such as salad items and currys are preprepared, but some of it is made to order, like pizza, pasta and stirfrys. I loved the huge choice that meant I could try things I would never normally order, and the fact that you could customise everything and even see people cooking most of it. The staff were really friendly and drinks were reasonably priced.

All you can eat buffets are either horribly rubbish or very good and fortuantely this is good. There is a great range of main dishes, curries(Indian style and Thai), Chinese food and occasionally pizza. The curries are really tasty and you can see the naans being freshly cooked. The starters are good too with a small selection of Indian and Chinese bits and dipping sauces. Like most all you can eat buffets the desserts are not great but if you’ve eaten enough curry you probably won’t be too fussed.

This is defnitely for the big eaters. There’s plenty of choice from thai to chinese to indian and italian! The lunch buffet is only a fraction of the menu! Adult Buffet starts from 12.95+

I’ve been here a couple of times but because it was someone else’s choice. I don’t like it. I don’t trust a place that serves pizzas, curries, chow mein and has a chocolate fountain all under one roof.
