Whilst this really is merely a Subway, this one has certainly served me well during my time here in Leeds. Mainly, based on my last visit, due to the excellent and patient staff who serve the late night drinkers of Leeds(myself included) with a chatty and friendly demeanor. I’ve been to many a take away late of an eve, and it can’t be the most rewarding time to be in the customer service profession, but the lads who were working here on my last visit were simply fab. We ended up talking to one chap who was studying at the Uni, and having a really decent natter, as we scoffed our sarnies. Always a pleasure. Add to that the fact the sandwich was made with particular care, the bread was fresh, and it was all turned around with speed and you’re on to a winner. Essentially, you all know what sandwiches to expect, and it’s true — you can nip up the road and probably get exactly the same one –but for the pleasantries, I’ll likely be back here on Boar Lane.

This may sound silly, but this is possibly my favorite Subway I’ve EVER been to. I love that all of the meat is Halal(which means that it’s been ethically slaughtered, with as little pain as possible– contrary to what I’ve heard some people say) and that only certain«cleaner» parts of the animal is used. Kind of a big deal when you’re eating recombined meat! The people who work there are always so cheery! Every time I have a late night out and I know that I shouldn’t be indulging in that late night kebab or burger from down the road/across the street, their green and yellow sign reminds me I have a healthier alternative! If you can, try to get it to go, the sit-in area can be a bit of a tip.
