This just happens to be a ridiculously good restaurant disguised as a modest pub in the middle of nowhere. I can’t really think of anywhere you can get better food if I’m honest. The menu changes daily based on what they have fresh and what they could shoot that week(seared pigeon is amazing). The staff are all very friendly and its an excellent all round dining experience. Not too pretentious and lacking a lot of the frills that can come with this kind of quality meal but thats why I like it. Definitely book ahead but well worth a visit. The only downside is that its difficult to decide what to order with such a good selection.

From the outside, Oddfellows in the Boat appears to be an ordinary pub, however on entering it is a revelation with an extensive and imaginative menu on a huge chalk board, excellent real ales and a reasonably priced wine list. The food is freshly prepared for each customer in the open kitchen and you can specify any special requirements to the team of chefs. The service is attentive and prompt and the food is delicious representing excellent value for money
