I prefer to call this place The Pimento Tearooms. This is where I meet with my poet friends and read our work to each other, discuss and then post on our Blog sites. The owners are very sympathetic to our aims and provide a free room for our use. The coffees and range of teas are very good. I recommend to anyone who finds themselves in Upper Lincoln near the Cathedral… Vernon

Pimento tea room is a lovely(meat eater friendly) vegetarian café. Any stalwart carnivores will be converted by their veggie chilli! Loads of teas and cakes to scoff in a relaxed atmosphere. If you can, nab the table upstairs infront of the window and do some steep-hill people watching. Great pit stop when exploring the city and there’s even a cute little shoe shop downstairs!

My husband and mine’s favourite café, real leaf tea and freshly ground coffee, we’re not veggies but love their chilli cheese and mango toasties, didn’t realise it was a vegetarian café at first, best tea ever!

Yummy vegetarian selections and tons of teas to choose from. The space is very small and located upstairs from a boutique. Waitstaff was friendly. Your best bet in the warmer months is to try and get a seat out in the garden!

Absolutely fantastic Vegetarian Café. Superb range of teas and coffees. Service was second to none and the food tasted great with good portion sizes.

A fantastic little tea room, with cosy little nooks to sit in(my friend calls it the Harry Potter Tea Room — you’ll see why when you visit it) It has an extensive range of teas and coffees, more than the usual range. And wonderful baking all of which is vegan, but that doesn’t mean you have to be one.

awesome veggie resteraunt with a great selection of vegan and veggie food that tastes great, which is a rare thing, no cheese paninis or 5 bean chillis in site like the usual places. extensive selection of tea and coffee from around the world to boot, which makes this my favorite place to eat in lincoln

Another place in Lincoln best approched by going DOWN Steep Hill! When you get there it is up a steep stairway to the first floor. No disabled access that I could see. Wooden floors and bistro tables, with a little side terrace in summer, it has a lovely atmosphere. They do a yummy range of veggie food and snacks including baked potatoes but that is not the reason to go there. They do over 100 different teas and over 70 coffees. My favourite coffee is the Monsooned Malabah. I tried my cousins coffee as she had the most expensive in the world(shh but I heard on QI it comes out of elephants bottoms) and it tasted just like Sainsbury’s. Mine was better. It can get packed in the tourist season and weekends but I have sat, with a book, over coffee, in winter and it has been quite quiet. Best of all there is a tiny shop downstairs, quite Dickensian, with its big ceramic jars, full of tea and coffee. You can get beans or ground as you like it in coffee and leaf tea. They also sell cafetieres for both tea and coffee. Tall for coffee and squat for tea.
