The cause: Various local and national charities.
The aim: To spread the music and ethos of The Beatles by hosting Beatles sing-​alongs, sponsored races, drawing competitions, live showcases from local bands and much more.
The finale: A huge Beatles Day concert at Echo Arena with local celebs and musicians performing Beatles covers to teary-​eyed fans.
So, why 4 stars and not 5? Whilst I appreciate Beatles Day appeals to thousands of fans, I’d rather celebrate their legacy at home. Without wigs and without having to endure bad cover versions. (:
