As avid Liverpool visitors, we actually haven’t spent much time at Bier. The other half’s brother recommended it a while back and has taken us twice now. It’s tucked away from the main independent streets so we’ve always been able to get a table — even when there was around 10 of us the other day! The bar itself has a relaxed vibe with very little airs and graces. It’s not quite a dive bar but a few more exposed bricks and it could probably compete. On our first visit there was an unfortunate smell of bleach but they seem to have sorted that out… I’m assured they have a good beer selection but I’ve always stuck to a draught cider. Make the most of the jukebox while you’re there — they have plenty of classic rock, motown and northern soul to choose from!

This was my favourite bar when visiting Liverpool with a friend a few months ago! It’s small, it’s cool, it’s quirky. From what I could tell, their beer range is pretty extensive. However, I went for the wine. BUY2GLASSESANDGETTHERESTOFTHEBOTTLEFREE! How could I say no? And it was mighty fine quality as well, let me tell you. The lads behind the counter were great craic, and not too harsh on the eyes either. When it became apparent that their chilli nuts were far too chilli for our tender Irish taste buds, they brought over jugs of ice water complete with lemon slices and coulourful straws for us. Check out the tiled wall chocked full of names of musicians and whatnot. It’s pretty special, in a sharpie-doodledy kinda way.

Found Bier on a top pubs of Liverpool list while visiting. Very happy I found it Young crowd and good beers — cask, draught and bottle. Has a cool local vibe without everyone turning around when I walked in. Worth mentioning that if you’re looking for an old style English pub, this isnt it

Great little place for a bear, no loud music and a very wide range of bears.
