Preserved vintage is one of my favourite boutiques in Liverpool. Set inside Grand Central on Renshaw Street, it’s in good company amongst many other small and brilliant vintage stores. With a stunning range of high-quality pieces, from belts, to handbags and kitsch dresses, Preserved has a lot to offer to fashionistas for are looking for something a bit more unique. Nothing beats perusing the boutique, but if you can’t make it into the store then have a cheeky peruse online, where stock is regularly updated. I just bought a dress off there, so I’ll keep you updated as to how fast postage is etc! Preserved also have fashion events regularly so keep your eyes and ears peeled for news of them or ask the staff in store. A great business!

I heart Preserved! Run and owned by two former textiles students, it’s one of the most fun and imaginative vintage boutiques I’ve visited. There’s a masked mannequin that watches over customers, lots of haphazard picture frames, cool music and incredible friendly staff. The real incentive however, is the and racks and racks of affordable vintage clothes in every size, shape, material and colour imaginable. They have fabulous dresses, skirts, trousers, blouses and handbags from most periods from the 1940s to the 1990s but their specialist area seems to be the 1960s to the 1980s. What’s more, they are happy to alter garments for you if something doesn’t fit properly. What more could you ask for? Really?

Preserved is a great little vintage clothing and accessories shop inside Grand Central on Renshaw Street. There’s a wide variety of vintage skirts and dresses in all colours and sizes, to suit all kinds of tastes. You’ll also find vintage handbags, belts, and jewellery here. The wares sold here are fairly affordable as far as vintage fashion goes. Most of the dresses I looked at started around £25. Accessories were usually considerably less. Even if you don’t live in Liverpool, you can visit Preserved at some vintage fairs and fashion events around the northwest. Log on to their Web site to check out upcoming events in your area: The lady who runs this shop is very friendly and it was nice chatting with her. The shop is really well organized, clean, and lovingly put together. She obviously genuinely cares a lot about her business. And you should too, because it’s really cool – so go check it out. Now.
