Republic is a fairly large clothes store in Liverpool One which hosts a generous selection of trendy fashion. This shop generally attracts the younger generation by observation of the type of clothing on offer. There is literally plenty to choose from, whether it is denim, hoodies, t-shirts or shorts. It is extremely sylish in nature with many branded names on sale, like Bench, G-Star and Henley’s so there’s a bit of everything which saves the hassle of searching at individually branded stores. One thing I did notice, is that every item in the menswear section is security tagged which does make it a bit of a nuisance if you want to try something on. On the other hand, I did not spot any security tags in the women’s wear section. Most items are overly priced because of the brand names, so security must be an issue. But to tag every piece of clothing seems an unorthodox way of doing things. This isn’t my cup of tea but if it’s yours, then Republic may be the shop for you.

I love this store. With a shiny and hip exterior to draw in crowds of shoppers, Republic has fashion-appeal. Stocking brands such as Motel you can’t go wrong when looking for something either casual or fancy to wear. Style is definitely marketed at a younger crowd but with such a versatile array of fashion on offer you can’t help but find something you want to purchase. Whether it be a hooded sweatshirt or a floral dress Republic has a great array of choices. The store is huge and nicely lit and the staff are really efficient and helpful. A great retailer.

Liverpool ONE’s Republic stocks the latest lines of Bench, Soul Cal and Crafted and you can pretty much tell from wandering around the inside of the shop, it can seem pretty packed in at times! Republic has a permenant supply of offers such as mix and match 2 for £50 on certian jumper and jeans ranges and these represent pretty decent value for the items included. Trying before buying is essential as I have a couple of friends who have been back and forth a couple of times with mis fitting items from the Republic mitch and match deals. The staff have always seemed very laid back and helpful in this branch and shopping in here never seems to be a busy or frustrating experience.

If you don’t want to hike round lots of seperate shops for a new pair of jeans, Republic stock a variety of different labels, styles and sizes. A gigantic store in Liverpool ONE, it’s packed with smart-casual threads for teenagers and twenty-somethings. There’s the usual jeans, tees, sweaters, hoodies, tracksuits and shirts for boys and the obligatory jeans, shorts, mini skirts, sundresses and blouses for girls. Labels include SoulCal, Craftet, Fenchurch, Henley’s, G-Star, Diesel, Firetrap and Miss Sixty. Prices are reasonable and there’s usually a couple of special offers each week. So, why 3 stars and not 4? With individual sections for each brand, the whole shop looks and feels a little soul-less. The music and staff are usually pretty MOR too.

This shop has a very friendly service and a very modern feel, probably because it was only opened a few months ago as part of the new Liverpool One shopping complex. Upon entering, you’re in the ladieswear, which hosts a small selection of different brands, ranging from a size 8 to a 16. There are items suitable for nights out, and others for casual usage; there really is something for everyone here. They sell accessories too; you can get a complete outfit here if you so wish. The fitting rooms are rather small in terms of the space each cubicle is allocated but they’re clean and bright and there is always someone helpful on duty in case you need another size or colour brought to you. At the till, you can get 10% student discount and they have a refund policy within 14 days. Prices are good and they are one of the retailers who ARE passing on the VAT reduction to customers in the form of lower prices. Upstairs is the menswear.
