Came here for a cocktail making event with a late lunch afterwards. The cocktail making was brilliant. We were taken upstairs to our own private room in the bar where we got a cocktail demo and each got to go behind the bar and make our own cocktails. The guy doing the demo made it fun and was happy to help us get all the techniques right(much harder than it looks!). We were a group of about ten and were 30 minutes late but he made sure he whizzed through it do we each got a go. The dinner afterwards was pretty average. We were seated on two very small tables between the 10 of us which made for quite a crowded table. I ordered the chicken starter(was ok, nothing special), rump steak and fries(again ok, but the steak could have been better quality — was quite chewy), and a chocolate brownie desert(a little dry, could have had more ice cream and less brownie to balance it out). Overall I’d give the cocktail session a 4 but the food a 2. It really wasn’t memorable at all.

I thought I’d never visited this place, but then a quick poke around the old noggin coupled with an enquiring text to a chum and a formal request to the police for a copy of all the CCTV footage of me concluded that I had. I’d eaten a Christmas meal here and everything. I’m like that guy from that film about the amnesiac. I forget his name. The problem with the Cavern Quarter Revolution is that once the old vodka is sloshing around your brain you’ll begin to store the memory of it as taking place in the Wood Street branch. They all look identical anyway. Actually the Crimbo meal here, safely tucked away in a private room upstairs away from the riff-raff, was a good-quality, low-cost affair that would probably make Santa grin if he existed.

You’ve got to admire the flexibility of Revolution bars across our little Island. Each one is very much to its own isn’t it. In a student village it becomes perfect for students, in a business district it becomes home for professionals and so on and forth. This is because of a clever style of management which caters for and is proactive as to the local consumer needs. This is such an example. From the décor to the music to the wine and food. It caters for majority of the week the locals, it provides a stopping ground for friends much like central perk did in «friends». It is relaxing it is chilled out and there is a satisfaction factor in the knowledge that if you order food for example it’s not gonna knock your taste buds out but it will be of a certain decent standard which will not spoil your evening. Bravo Revo’s bravo indeed.

Nestled between Matthew Street and Victoria Street, this particular branch of Revolution looks and feels more like a wine bar than a party venue. The décor is more restrained, the music is more relaxed and the focus seems to be on quality wine and food as much as spirits. This is probably because it’s main customer base in the week seems to be locals looking to relax and enjoy a couple of drinks after work. Friday and Saturday nights however, Revolution becomes transformed into the Club 18 – 30 destination we expect with dozens of youngsters knocking back flurescent looking vodka cocktails. Whilst the atmosphere isn’t as rowdy as the Wood Street and St Peter’s Square branches, I still wouldn’t recommend anyone ordering a pitcher of Del Boy. Individually, vodka, pineapple juice and coconut liquor taste just fine. Mixed and shaken with blue curaco though, they become pretty lethal.

Jeez, will stop losing your customers because the last time you did she found me in another bar and has just given me 12 months of hell. Apart from that it’s a great bar, lively, full of talent(well at least those that stay!!) and right in the middle of a good night life area. Take a visit,

Liverpool is an increasingly popular hot spot for nights these days. Revolution is a chain bar/restaurant that seems to pop up on ever coroner, in Liverpool there are several of them. The one I want to review is located in Cavern Quarter, this is situated between Matthew Street and Victoria Street so it is easily accessible to everyone. Revolution seems to be busy no matter what night of the week it is, they seem to draw in the young student crowd, the atmosphere is quite relaxing and very friendly. The drinks are reasonably priced and they do quite a few shots on offer, they also a good range of cocktails mid week. During the weekend there seems to be no age limit, most people are in their mid to late 20’s I think. There is a lively atmosphere with Funky House music, they also offer private function rooms if you want to have a party. I don’t this Revolution has been here for to long, the furnishings are ultra modern and very stylish. A good place to be seen drinking in Liverpool
