After a poor experience somewhere else last night(unrelated) I was very happy to have a good meal tonight. Short review — great meal, reasonably priced, I would definitely recommend you go and I would go back. I got in at 6:50pm and they have a 2 course special until 7. I ordered the nachos as the starter and the chicken fajitas as my main. The nachos were good. Decent portion you could easily share. My fajitas were excellent. The chicken alone had a lot of flavor. Huge portion. I really wanted dessert but no way I could eat it. I was stuffed. You should go and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I’ve been here numerous times for various occasions(birthdays, etc) and always had a great time. In some ways the food is pretty much what you would expect from a Mexican restaurant — burritos, fajitas, enchiladas, etc… but there is also a healthy dose of both something different and more authentic. There are Alambre de Pollo, Estofado and my personal favourite: Cochinita Pibil. Make sure you try this one! It’s a traditional Mexican dish, a pork and orange stew with onion, garlic, tomatoes and much! Delicious. There are a few desserts to try too, with my selection being the Banana Chimichanga or, of course, the Churros. The drinks selection is also great with Mojitos, Margaritas and the ever-lovely Modelo. The restaurant has nice, dark, lighting. This is a personal preference of mine — dark is good! The staff are always very helpful as well. Overall, Savina is a fantastic Mexican restaurant that offers both something familiar AND something that you might find new and exciting. It is also a great place for groups to go for celebrations. Make sure to check this place out!

Savina is a Mexican restaurant with a touch of class and is most certainly one of Liverpool’s most premier eateries. This place only opened four years ago but has come on in leaps and bounds and now attracts a very trendy and upmarket crowd who are not afraid to splash their cash. The food and drinks here are exceptional and there is a variety of Mexican beer on offer which I have grown to love as it certainly washes down a hearty meal well. The food is mouth watering and there is so much to choose from that it may take some time for you and your fellow diners to decide. This month they even made a graduate menu to entice finishing students inside and this really sums up the friendliness and care that embodies Savina. Take a look at the website and you will see photos of people enjoying themselves in sombreros and generally having a great time. Savina is fun and classy and most of all tasty.

Barburrito did so well in tarnishing Mexican food for me that the mere mention of Mexican makes me want to throw. What a horrendous experience that was one that as much as I try I cannot delete from my memory banks. You can thus understand my utter apprehension at the thought of trying this place out, however in the name of go with the flow I was herded in amongst a group of friends. For once my fears were not confirmed and the food was actually pretty good. Now I’m a huge fan of Nachos always have been and considering I am a movie buff I eat them a lot. Although Odeon’s Nachos offering isn’t too authentic, still the melted hot cheese dip really goes down well. Obviously the Nachos served here are different class. Although they do serve them with chicken here I much prefer them without as it homes in more on their flavour. If you have it with chicken, well the chicken steals its thunder. The Nachos are served with salsa and cheese baked and topped with sour cream guacamole and jelapenos, oh the mouth waters!!! Savina offer you a perfect Mexican formula of good food at good prices. The have on offer 2 courses at £11.95 or 3 courses at £14.95 available without fail before 7pm Sunday to Friday and before 5pm on Saturdays. With 7 Mains to choose from there is enough choice. I had the Pancho Villa steak and while the taste wasn’t as revolutionary as the name might suggest the lamb rump was good enough cooked rather well with mint aioli. I do insist you try, once you’ve taken care of Pancho Villa(if there is room) the Quebradizo. I quite liked this little beauty of a dessert. This is a white and milk chocolate tortila baked and served with ice cream, very interesting and tastylicious!!! What a good way to round off a mexican dining wave at the conclusion of which all that’s left to say is… Arriva Arriva… check out Savina!!!

The chilli Colorado Had at Savina was simply sublime. This mexican restaurant is on the edge of the city centre, but is more than worth the extra effort that is required to walk there from the centre. The location does make it easy to get a table, however it is busy at the weekends so it is perhaps advisable to ring ahead. Whist more expensive than other mexicans such as Nando’s the quality and service are so much better that I would always prefer to pay the extra!

Moons ago I celebrated a new job at a restaurant in Liverpool with the parental units and the BF. I know it was Mexican, I know it was nice, I know it was central, I just couldn’t for the life of me remember what it was called. Now I know! And I’m willing to wade in with my tuppence worth of opinion. This is a really excellent Mexican restaurant, and one I’d visit so much more if I could. It’s a dimly lit, atmospheric and architectural delight, decorated very prettily and speckled by lovely relaxing background music. It’s definitely well laid out. The staff are very accommodating, bending over backwards for requests and treating you with that perfect compromise of friendliness and respect. Plus they have a great sense of humour, or at least the ones we dealt with did. The food’s darn good too, mostly an unusual twist on most traditional Mexican dishes and a very sophisticated one at that. A noteworthy point for example is that the chilli, instead of being made with mince, is made with quality steak. Without a doubt one to keep in mind for those meat lovers! There are tons of veggie and fish options too so there’s certainly something for everyone. The fajitas in all their forms are really excellent and the drinks, wine and cocktail menus have an equally Mexican flair. Plus the prices are reasonable for central Liverpool, so you won’t be out of pocket after indulging here. One of the best Mexicans I’ve stumbled across for a good while. Do give it a go!
