Have you ever walked in somewhere and suddenly felt like you’ve aged 50 years and you’re actually a pensioner trying to fill your day? This place does that — although not a bad thing in my opinion! If a little café/bakery attracts the pensioners then you can pretty much be guaranteed that the place has friendly staff, and a chilled out environment. This café isn’t any different from this, it’s a rose amongst the thorns. The food is similar to what you would expect from a Sayers or a Greggs but there is a seating area where you can have your tea and cake, and watch the world go by. The price aren’t bad, you do pay slightly more to sit in but still fair price. There is a good variety of food including savouries, cream cakes, sandwiches, paninis, breads and confectionary. I’d say the quality is better than a Sayers or Greggs as all the food is baked and made fresh, prepared and made to order for sandwiches etc. The only downside compared to one of the big chains is that there isn’t as much variety in terms of the more exotic menu items, like the mexican chicken oval bite etc.
