= a long-established NHS general medical practice in Llanishen village, North Cardiff. The practice is run by four doctors in happy partnership. They also have three other regular doctors, three practice nurses, plus attached phlebotomists, community nurses, midwife, health visitor and counsellor so you are in good hands. The purpose-built building has disabled access. There is a small patients’ car park next to the surgery. There is also a free public car park nearby, behind St Isan’s church at the bottom of Heol Hir. Ring the surgery or come to reception to make an appointment. All their clinics are appointment based, to make sure that each person has enough time for their problem to be properly dealt with. They allow booking up to four weeks in advance but may ask you to see the nurse for follow up of certain conditions, such as diabetes, asthma, COPD and high blood pressure. You can also see the nurse for dressings, routine childhood immunisations, cervical smear tests, vitamin B12 injections, general health advice etc. The nurses also deals with routine contraception check-ups, but you should see the doctor instead if you want to start a new method of contraception or change your current method.
