This is one of my favorite places in Terminal 2. I’ve tried the smoked salmon, the oysters, and the crayfish salad. A decent wine list is a definite plus. Only 4 * because on my visit in January 2016, the waitress forgot one of the items I’d ordered.

While waiting for our connecting flight back home to Miami, my boss suggested we grab lunch at this place. He said he had eaten at this place a few times before and they serve pretty darn good seafood. So I said, why not. This place is a bar stand in a small open space with a few tables on the side. Not a big visible sign which might be hard to spot in a sea of people in a busy terminal. We quickly grabbed two seats at the bar and I started looking at their menu. Wow! Everything looked fantastic, and they served them right in front of you in the open kitchen. Everything looked fresh and delicious. It was hard for me to decide what to go with, so i ordered the shrimp cocktail where my boss had their king crab legs. Before the main course, they served you a side of salad. That was fresh and delicious, and really cleaned your palate before what’s to come. The portion of my shrimp cocktail was generous and it was delicious. The size of my boss’s king crab legs were HUGE. I can tell he obviously was enjoying eating them. And of course, we both ordered a «few» glasses of Sauvignon Blanc with our meal. And yes, the price might be a little steep, but i thought it was well worth it. We enjoyed everything served in our mean, and the service staff was great too. If I ever had to travel though London, I’d make sure my flight arrives at this terminal again!

I love caviar and a particular kind. They had it. No complaints except empty pockets!

Still fantastic and a great addition to Queens terminal 2. I think the installed iPad displays are underutilized. Perhaps they should have the whole menu and wine list on them. Wine pours a little small.

Small open space, easy to overlook as you bustle through London Heathrow. But you really shouldn’t. Three of the recurring menu items are the dishes they serve in my Kopfkino version of the afterlife: namely, the crab, the shrimp cocktail and the standard smoked salmon. All come with a nest of salad greens, a side of soft whole grain bread triangles and salted butter. Pair any of them with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. One of the reasons I routed through Heathrow today was to have dinner at the Seafood Bar. It’s that good.

Simply impeccable. ! I had a 45 minute layover and wondered if I had enough time to dine. Fortunately the«bar» was in front of my gate to Frankfurt. I am sooooooo glad I stopped. While living in New York and after 3 days in Paris and London wining and dining, it is ironic the best meal in Central Europe occurred at the airport. The meal, presentation and service were impeccable. To top it all off they gave me a Thomas Pink £20 or roughly $ 30. Heck this meal almost paid for itself ;-). Definitely a new Heathrow tradition.

For me this place is a ritualistic must do after blowing some cash in Duty Free and before facing the hordes on a long haul commercial flight. Lovely wines, attentive staff, and high quality food are an excellent prelude to any trip. I normally go for the basic gravalax or shrimp dishes, but everything I’ve had here is good. However I do think £7 for a 125ml glass of Sauvignon Blanc is a bit pricey, bit hey, it’s part of the whole journey. And there are rarely any screaming kids nearby…

I enjoyed my seafood plate and glass of white wine, but I don’t see why this place gets 4 and 5 stars. I agree, the food was tasty and I realize it’s on an airport where everything is overpriced, but for what you get, the high price is not justified. I had the seafood combo and one small glass of wine, $ 70, just not worth it. In fact, I was still hungry when I finished eating my seafood combo and went to a sushi place right next to the food bar. I had a nice portion of sushi for $ 11 and it was awesome.

On a recent trip home from the UK I was feeling a bit nervous before the flight. I decided to calm my nerves with a quick drink. The seating here was easy — barstools with enough room to set some small luggage at your feet. The selection of drinks was fine — I actually chose a Bikha Beer(a wonderful 11% ABV beer made with honey) and a champagne. My total was around 15GBP. The staff were very friendly with everyone, and I was served promptly. If you sit on end closest to the end of the terminal, you have a perfect view of one of the departure/arrival screens. I didn’t have the food, but the caviar looked amazing. I don’t really like the smell of fish(but yes, I eat caviar) and the salmon smell was SO strong, even when not sitting right at the bar. That was my one and only complaint about the place — but seriously… the smell was strong enough for me to knock off one star.

I am still sitting here enjoying my glass of wine. I must say, I am a skeptic when it comes to airport dining, and was pleasantly surprised by this little bar. I had the tsarina, which consists of smoked salmon and caviar over bleni. The smoked salmon was smooth like butter, very good quality. The caviar was quite mild, and complimented the dish nicely. Very nice little place.

As we wandered through Heathrow, we passed by the Prunier stand and thought«it’d be nice to have a little sampler of the caviar». Lo behold! There is the Caviar House & Prunier Seafood Bar! We ordered the«taste of excellence» which offered a sampling of the caviar, smoked salmon, and foie gras, accompanied by egg whites(as in a hard-boiled egg, but finely chopped), Crème fraîche, chopped red onions, Blini(which I thought would be more like a crêpe, but turned out to be more like a pancake), and brown toast(which they brought more at no extra charge). Just like the name suggested, it was excellent! Pricing for the delicacies was a bit steep: ~£50 for the small sampling(~1 tsp of caviar, 2 slices of smoked salmon, and 1 round slice of foie gras + the accoutrement), which is why I am only giving it 3 stars.

During my many travels through each terminal of London Heathrow Airport it’s good feeling knowing that there is quality seafood awaiting me as I await to connect on my flights around the world. Caviar House & Prunier has the freshest most savory tasting seafood. It almost makes me wonder if the seafood is taken directly off each international flight as it arrives, of course after food safety inspection through customs, yes it’s that fresh. The must have in the morning is the Scrambled Eggs with Scottish Smoked Salmon from Speyside Region of Scotland served with a glass of what they call Buck Fizz aka momosa. There is nothing like Smoke Salmon from the Speyside region of Scotland, the taste is so distinct and clean and I live in the Pacific, I’m not a Pacific Salmon traitor, I’m just keeping it real. It’s really elegant feel when sitting on a bar stool and getting greeted always by friendly staff regardless of which one I go to from Terminal 1 to Terminal 5. This is also good place to get some real nice café espresso doubles before a long or short haul flight. Bön Appetite.
