106 Baker St

Want some authentic Italian feeling right in the centre of London? Go and see the guys at 106 Baker Street! Amazing sandwiches and homemade pasta as well as fresh made juices and smoothies. If you’re still not filled up try their coffee or cakes as their equally amazing! They’ve got lunch box offers and a daily lunch menu with salads and pasta so you can be healthy while eating out. They even got a lovely hidden courtyard which is amazingly quiet if you need a couple of minutes break from the big city life.

The food was unbelievable — especially the veal pasta. The cooking is all authentic, the pasta is freshly made and ingredience works perfectly together. The inside is nice and bright — with the staff being particularly warm.

Amazing café and small restaurant! The fresh juices are the best I’ve had in London. Everything is made with the best quality fresh ingredients and the décor is light and airy on this busy road. A delightful place to go to, I will be back when I’m in the area next.

BAKER STREET LUNCH UPDATE!
Viable stuff right here, Baker Street worker bees. A main + THREE salads for a mere £7.50 (eat in OR take away)? Well sign me up for a little lunching.
This was my second occasion in for lunch and things seem to be firing on all cylinders over here now. I had the herb crusted salmon with three salads (root veg, more veg, more veg — holy detox, sigh) — and it was a nice plate of food, served immediately. Friendly service, very efficient. Nice to be able to eat in and be on our way in the 1 hour lunch period.
When not detoxing — I’m all about that veal pasta main. Whoa. Very nice. And cake. And croissants. And a latte. You catch my drift? ALL THE STUFF.
Also, applause that the prices are all the same whether you eat in or take away. I realize that VAT is charged for eat in orders (Why? I don’t really know) — but passing that oddity on to customers always felt really strange to me. Even though I’m sure I’m paying for it one way or another here at 106, at least its not annoying to think about. Well done on that front.

What a shame. All the right ingredients so the plates look super inviting but the taste is all off. All the salads were bland, the vegetables cooked to a soggy mess and the hummus tasted worse than telco hummus. Coming from LA I was super excited to have a healthy café near my apartment but I will definitely pass on the high price and weird flavors that 106 Baker has to offer. Maybe the pastries and the juices are the way to go…

Wenn ich Baker Street höre, kommt mir automatisch Sherlock Holmes… was ich nicht erwartet habe ist eine wahnsinnige Bäckerei! (Wobei man es bei dem Namen echt vermuten hätte können)
Das Avocado-​Hühnchen-​Muffin-​Teil war der absolute Hammer… Lachs mit Frischkäse? Zum reinlegen… die Granola-​Bars? Am liebsten würde ich mir ein Haus aus den Teilen bauen: D Wie… geil… ist dieser Laden bitte? Das Essen wird täglich frisch zubereitet und bei Bedarf wird das Sortiment aufgefrischt.
Die Location selbst ist super schick: Vorne ein warmer und freundlicher Einkaufsbereich und hinten kleine verstecke Sitzmöglichkeiten abseits der Blicke der Passanten und der Straße, quasi eine perfekte kleine Oase inmitten der Baker Street. Die Optik mit der Holz-​Vertafelung erinnert ein wenig an eine Bäckerei aus einem vergangen Jahrhundert. Das Personal ist freundlich und beantwortet einem gerne jede Frage bezüglich WAS da eigentlich vor einem liegt :)
Zusammengefasst fällt mir nur eins ein: WOW! Fantastisches Essen, super Location und top Personal… was will man mehr?
