Can’t beat a 99p store! Went here to get some presents for party bags and was not disappointed! So much value for money, it’s unbelievable.
You just have to be careful not to be sucked in by thinking it’s cheap, they mark up some of their products higher than supermarket costs (obviously) so just be aware of that!

Many, many things in this store are actually cheaper at Sainsburys, such as toothpaste, washing up liquid etc. Check before you buy!

Doubt many economists head down to Balham these days, but if they do I think they’d be surprised to find one of the best examples of creative destruction since the digital camera. A few saddo’s might have lamented Woolworths demise, but 5 minutes in this shop would have them convinced that Woolies closing down was, in fact, the best thing since sliced bread. Seriously — this place is Woolies on steriods, but at a fraction of the price, and a fraction of the disorganisation. You can literally fill your boots for £5; cans of coke for 30 something pence, shampoo at 70% off, shower curtains for 50p — this place is so cheap I wouldn’t be surprised if it had the Sainsbury’s next door worried.
