Adesso

I was on the prowl for something yummy for lunch, and boy, am I glad we stopped here! It was not a busy hour for them, so it was easy for my family and I to make a spot for ourselves and my baby.
For the appetizer, we ordered meatballs and bruschetta. They were absolutely delicious! I may be back again soon just for those two. For the main course, we had the homemade ravioli and the breaded chicken with spaghetti. We all raved over our dishes. The staff were kind and helpful, and we never felt like we had to wait to be served or that anyone was unkind.
This would be great for a dinner date.

It was a one of these warm Friday evenings in mid spring when it felt like a sin to go for dinner somewhere inside after a long day at the office, so we decided to look for a place with a terrace in Richmond hill and came across a Sicilian restaurant Adesso. I liked the atmosphere, the service was efficient, the food tasty and the prices reasonable.
We shared two appetizers: Parmigiana (claimed to be one of the best in UK and Italy) and Calamari. I preferred the calamari. For the main I had Risotto Mare, which tasted yummy.
If you don’t mind the nature (read: ants that would once in a while crawl on your table), you will enjoy dining at the terrace in Adesso ;)

This place was a great find! Buzzy and lively but we could still hold a conversation without having to shout! The food was fresh and delicious. We had a the sharing platter to start — a bit of everything including calimari, stuffed tomatoes, olives, cheese and more. Followed by a tasty anchovy and rocket pizza. I was too full for dessert — maybe next time!

Genuine Sicilian cooking, try pasta alla norma for a true taste of Sicily. Desserts are great too.

A Scilian restraunt offering it’s own take on Italian pasta dishes and more. What I liked was that the sauces were different and clearly their own and fresh.
As it’s on richmond Hill you could forgive them the extra pound from chain places.
We sat outside and it’s great for people watching.
Wine was a reasonable price. we got in mid week early evening quite easily.

If this isn’t a family run Sicillian restuarant it certainly feels like one. Every time I eat at Adesso not only is the food delicous but the service is excellent. The welcome you receive as you step inside makes you feel like you are holidaying in Italy not finding somewhere to eat after a day at work!
The seafood risotto is my favourite as they don’t scrimp on all the things they have apparently you can imagine they have caught for you in the Med that afternoon. The waitresses are attentive and know their stuff so just ask them if you’re not sure what to go for.
Recently they have added a powerpoint screen loop behind the bar showing the specials, bit odd but just ask the lovely and helpful staff if you can’t see it as they are worth checking out. Occassionly they can get a bit too busy to come over with the bill but they don’t seem to mind if you go up. There is a small decking area outside to complete the continental vibe.
I’ve recommended this to a few people now and no one has been disappointed. It makes a change from all the chains in Richmond.
