I hope those steaks are good because my salad was horrible, poor service from a guy who didn’t even bother to give me the change, when asked he replied that«that was tip for the service charge«which it wasn’t even on the bill… so yeah just like all restaurants in Leicester Square give pretty much same«tourist» service

Avoid at any cost. The only good things about this place are the dessert and the building. It was way overpriced. The meat was average for the price, and the coleslaw tasted more like glue than actual coleslaw(still charges you 3.50£ for it somehow) The biggest problem is the staff. The waiters are really bad at their job. Not only are they bad at serving you, but they are also really bad at talking behind customers back and making fun of them. Most of the time, they would just stand next to the bar and talk to each other and giggle like little teenage girls and whining about how that guy eats or how this other guy looks like a fat frog when he eats. Best part is that they don’t whisper when they say stuff like that and you can hear everything. And they expect you to tip them hahaha. One advice: if you want meat, you’re better off with a double whopper from burger king. AVOIDTHISPLACE

Overpriced and underwhelming: do not make the mistake of eating here. Amidst the glistening lights of Piccadilly Circus, one is drawn to the subtle red of the Angus Steakhouse… Do NOT be fooled. The foundation of any reputable steakhouse is the quality of its meat and the manner in which it has been cooked. Here, Angus failed in both respects. My meat was not cooked as per my instruction. Even upon being returned to the kitchen. The meat, which came at a staggering £19, was served alone. Yes. Entirely naked. Devoid of any sides or even a sauce. You were required to pile everything else on top for an additional fee. That would have been acceptable had the meat been up to standard. Next, the waiting staff. Aside from taking 15 minutes to actually take my order, they could do with a class in manners and etiquette. Especially for a seemingly«higher» end establishment. I had to ask for my waitress to be changed. The only bright spark was the hostess/lady at the door. She was wonderfully polite. If you find yourself gazing longingly at the door(seeking to unravel Angus’s subtle enigma) walk away very quickly. My advice: head towards the Flatiron Steak establishment 10 minutes away; you will never spend a better £15 on steak!

For 20GBP(approximately $ 30) for an 8 oz filet I waited 40 minutes to receive a cold and complete under done steak. I was explicit with my well done instructions and offered to allow a butterfly so please no comments on my eating preference. We saw numerous tables just walk out due to the poor service. The food quality matches so don’t waste your money.

The only thing what makes a kind of good impression is the food! My beef fillet 8oz was good! The salad served with it: not fresh at all! Fries were good! Prices are alright! The service sucks completely! That’s why just 3 stars.

P. s. Es gibt eine Speisekarte in deutsch

Men, I’ve experienced better sums up this place pretty perfectly. When your paying £20 for a steak you want it to be gorgeous, otherwise I could spend a couple of pound at my local butcher and make one myself! The prawn cocktail was pretty yummy though! The service was really good but this place is an obvious tourist trap and really and truly you should go somewhere better for steak. Like Gaucho for instance!

Came here after a play because it was the only place serving food after 10pm. Must be thee worst filet mignon I’ve ever tasted, and my friend’s ribeye boasts the same. No seasoning to the meat, no flavor, the meat couldn’t even be helped by HB sauce. Cooked unevenly too! Side we ordered: Mushrooms– terrible Mashed potatoes– bland and starchy. How do you mess up potatoes??? Mac and cheese– bland and cheesy. Service was mediocre, at best. The tap water was good, I guess, had it ever been refilled by our waiter.

Taking the tube into the only area of town that would probably be bustling with others on Christmas Eve, we found ourselves seeing Angus Steak House in bright red letters on every corner. Not only was it one of the few places open, having not made a reservation anywhere, we were desperate. Seeing that they were actually full of people, we decided«hey, it has to be somewhat decent». We chose the best looking one on the corner in Leicester Square, and were immediately sat with a table of 5, even though it looked packed. The menu didn’t have much selection, and not being in the mood for a big steak or slab of ribs, I went with an appetizer and a couple of sides, including mac and cheese & a mixed greens salad. The walls are lined with bottles of wine, so a cheap 22pound bottle of wine was ordered, as well. Other than one friends steak being a little undercooked(and she ordered medium rare… haha), I was satisfied with the service, promptness, and food overall. After trying my friends ribs, I had wished I would of went all out and ordered them. They tasted so good(and he just had the regular ‘ol bbq slab). Definitely suggest for a «maybe» dinner if in the area for theatre and not in the mood for Chinese. ORDERTHERIBS!

Super fresh and tender meat. I’ve eat there my very best of life steak(sirloin). Nice view from the garden for Leicester Square. Prices are too high comparing to other steak houses, but one time in life is worth to try :)

Hoooooooooooooorrrrible place. Save you’re money, but don’t goto the Chinese place nearby either! Seriously, hire people that speak English and not mystery languages. When you order a steak, don’t expect it to come with ANYTHING. I’ve been to this location twice, once in 2007 New Years Eve, and once in 2009 with my wife. We ordered two steaks, thinking they might come with chips, and what we received were two bland, over cooked tiny chunks of meat that looked like they had been dropped on the floor. In an attempt to get some flavor for the steak we asked the waitress for some sauce and found that she couldn’t speak a word of English. Then we asked another and the same thing happened. It’s a pretty expensive place, in a good enough area, but for some reason they opted for the most rude and curt staff possible. If you’re trying to impress a date, this is NOT the place.

When my sister suggested the Angus Steak House I rolled my eyes at the prospect of overpriced steak, chips and peas. Nonetheless when she convinced me to venture inside where we were quickly greeted by a charming smiling waiter, I had a good feeling about this place… The menu took me by surprise, rather than being riddled with steak and more steak, there were different meat options, decent fish and vegetarian dishes and mixed platters. Despite being in a ‘steak house’ me and my sister were so impressed with the non steak dishes that I opted for a lamb shank and she a mixed platter. Well, what can I say, my lamb shank was divine. The best part was not the meat(which was still amazing) but the silky smooth mash and rich red wine gravy. My sister’s platter included ribs, chicken wings, onion rings and potato skins filled with cheese. Not the best platter I have seen in my twenty years, but it definitely filled a whole and my sister was smiling throughout. It is a shame that I cannot comment on the steak. I did eye up other diners steak however, which looked nothing less than the big and juicy slabs of meat you would expect from a place that is brave enough to put the word ‘steak’ in its name. The place had a classy modern feel to it with its black and red colour scheme, and the service we received was extremely good — the staff were smart, friendly and almost overly polite. The menu was much more varied than I had expected, and the above average food met the slightly above average prices. I would definitely recommend this restaurant –carnivore or not– if you are looking for top service, decent quality and quantity food and you don’t mind slashing out that little extra. Oh, and if you accidently leave a shopping bag there, they will have it ready and waiting for you on your return,(not that I did something so stupid…) Enjoy.

I didn’t know this chain before. I was disappointed. The place is comfortable and the staff very professional, helpful and take care of you. But prices are high and although I have been informed that in England the read meal is expensive, I have been surprised. My main complaint is that for this price the meal is not so good and even the meal. Besides, I found they insist(maybe it’s because my girlfriend and me are French) so much for tips. They didn’t need to do it !!

Walking through Leicester Square and couldn’t figure out where to go. The place looked crowded, so thought it must be good. Well, as we walked in I noticed the steaks looked a little thin(didn’t look up to the same standard as Mortons or Ruth Chris-even though it is probably the same price with the exchange rate), so… I know… it’s a steak place… but I decided to order a Salmon. To my surprise, out came a nice thick piece of salmon that had a nice crust on the outside and was tender on the inside. I had a side of mashed potatoes that were pretty good as well. Would I go back… not sure for steak, but at least on this night the fish was tasty.

The Hubby was in a mood for steak and I wanted Treacle pudding for dessert from Garfunkel’s(across the street). So we decided to eat here. I got the New York strip, hubby got the Rib Eye. Neither of us were very impressed. The meat was ok, not seasoned at all. Service was not the greatest. The strangest thing happened, a guy… a flower seller with a bunch of flowers walked up to our table and tried to make my husband buy me a rose for 5GBP! It was so weird because my husband actually felt coerced into buying one for me, but I was not going to have any of that… you see Treacle pudding was waiting for me at Garfunkel’s and I couldn’t be bothered to find a vase to put that stupid 5 pound rose in. I told that guy to leave us alone because the wait staff did nothing other than gawk, even though they saw how uncomfortable we were. This would never have happened in the US. The other point of this story is, this is a very touristy location, so be cognizant of your surroundings.

Ate here again very recently –last ate approximately twenty years ago –nothing has changed. Even the décor looks the same. It is in a fantastic location but the prices are sky high and the range is not great. You are paying top prices but this is not refected in the service or the quality of the beef. Drinks cost a fortune ands you can look at the passers by but you can do it in the park for free. Avoid.

One night I was with my son in Leicester Square and it started to rain. My son was starving and he was not in the mood for Chinese down the way and he thinks British food sucks(sorry he said it not me) so we… gulp…went to this restaurant. He loves steaks and we did not have an umbrella so we came here. The place had a long wait except for on the patio so we opted for the patio. The service was just ok and my son thought the steak was just ok. I had soup but who can screw up soup. What surprised me was that I noticed several really wealthy people eating there… why?(Don’t ask how I know they were wealthy… it was very obvious).
