Came here for a break from shopping Pros: — Their large size for chai is HUGE(I love this place!) — Plenty of seating space and some seats are great for people watching(If you’re into that)! Cons: — None!

Really cute place. But the sandwiches were mediocre in my opinion. I would rather go to a café like Paul. If you decide to go there, be aware that the location shown on Unilocal’s map isn’t correct. It should be east of the strand, not west.

Delicious food — the hot chocolate is like drinking a melted chocolate bar.

I found the boyfriend hanging out in here while I was going crazy in Twinings. Apparently he had the thick hot chocolate(which my uncle refers to as «cutable chocolate») without me. Sadness. I didn’t try the food here, but I did get the apple and beetroot juice that they offered. I have some abnormal obsession with beet juice. Although I prefer when the juice is a little thicker texture-wise, it was delicious, incredibly refreshing, and hit the spot. The café is very clean and spacious and the staff working there was incredibly friendly even if the service was a little slow.

Apostrophe’s thick hot chocolate is the best. THEBEST. Sandwiches are fairly decent, they forgot to heat mine though which was disappointing, the ciabatta was a bit tough cold. I do think the presentation and ingredients are a good standard though. Only crisps flavour appeared to be ready salted which was a shame because the actual crisp was absolutely brilliant — fancy kettle chips style. Staff in here are consistently nice and efficient.

mmm ;0 … the peaches and pain au chocolat was delice, I liked ;)) The mozzarella and pesto sandwich was fresh. I loved the way they package things here. The pink and brown colour combo of the packaging is too cute. I felt like I was unwrapping a present before munching. Makes it a real treat to eat the goodies here ;)

Apostrophe initially caught my eye because I heard off the grape vine that it was an organic and fresh food café… which for me, is a God-given blessing to find in London. The atmosphere inside is really bubbly; casual but comforting. The bright pinks & dark brown colours make you feel quite content and it’s nice and warm inside. The food was really amazing for a café. I was really impressed. I come from Italy and when I’m in London, I really miss good quality whole grain bread and organic cheese. The food here reminded me of home. Everything tastes really organic and filling in a lovely way that doesn’t make you feel like you’ve just eaten really crap, processed food. The staff weren’t anything to boast of, but they were friendly and quick with their orders. I recommend: «Le Grec» sandwich — definitely overpriced for such a small sandwich, but the dark brown bread tastes AMAZING, soft and fresh. The cheese is also of a continental quality and overall it has a great taste, especially when toasted. «Chocolate Twist» croissant — really soft and chocolately, not like M&S or starbucks/caffe-nero croissants that taste a bit dry and old. Coriander, Coconut and Potato — filling and rich in a non-lumpy way, the flavours mix really well together. The website also gives you the nutritional values of the food, which is good for any one who is on a diet and wants to do a calorie-check. I dropped one star because just like ALL organic food cafes(–___-) it is overpriced, and they charge like 80p more for each item of food just to eat in which I think is ridiculous, considering the food already costs a lot. The branch in Strand is nice and merry, full of lawyers and professional business people on their lunch breaks. Being a student, I’ll have to budget when coming here — maybe once or twice a week at most.

I’ve been here for coffees and cakes, and I have to say they deliver! Always a great atmosphere, a proper barista(not some monkey pushing buttons) and superb sandwhiches x It is a little pricier than the prets etc but you get what you pay for!

This Apostrophe was located between King’s College London and Maughan Library, so I passed by almost every day during my semester abroad. I was initially attracted to the café because of its cute color scheme and décor, but its food/drink offerings did not disappoint either. If this location were not always SO busy, it would definitely get five stars from me! The food here was always amazing(I could never resist their delicious pastries!) and the hot drinks were perfectly rich and satisfying on chilly London days. Sometimes it could get a little claustrophobic inside during peak hours, but the set up of the café was still very charming — I loved the huge windows in front because they were perfect for people watching on The Strand.

While visiting King’s College London we were in dire need of a lunch break. We were originally headed up to Pret a Manger, however, we saw Apostrophe, and it looked like a nice choice. There were loads of vegetarian choices, all incredibly fresh looking. I had the Paris, while my mom had the Mediterranean. Mine was fantastic and her’s looked great as well. The avocado in mine was especially nice. Apostrophe also had a nice selection of freshly squeezed juices. Pretty much anything you could imagine had a juice. I had the pear juice, which was delicious, while my mom had a mix of carrot and apple. While I’m not a big fan of carrot juice, it was quite nice. In addition to what we had, there was also a tempting selection of pastries, coffee, and soups. Most delicious things you could imagine were here. For a lunch in the center of London, it was very reasonably priced. You have to adjust pricing a bit for the city. Overall, if you’re looking for a nice bite to eat in a fresh environment, this is it! Not to mention, the view of the Royal Courts of Justice is wonderful. The restaurant has big glass windows looking onto the street.

After an abysmally disappointing experience at Twinings — where we were expecting a full-on Tea House, serving teas & sandwiches — only to find out they sell nothing but tins of teas, minimal hassle led us next door to Apostrophe for a yummy snack Pastries, Cakes & Sandwiches(w/lots of veggie options!)are laid out for servers to grab & plate or heat up then take your yummies & go sit on bar stools in the store front window — facing the High Court of Justice(which is lovely & architecturally phenomenal) Thai Chicken Soup — hot & spicy Brie & Pear on Wheat /Walnut Bread — scrumptious! Almond Croissant & Brownie — very good Teas all around & we had our substitute Twinings tea experience
