This shop is probably only three stars because it’s much smaller than most and has extremely limited seating, but I think the bar seating is perfect. Unfortunately, there are no plug points and all high seating. I give it four stars because the coffee is standard and reliable. I like the comfort of standardization this coffee shop has to offer and it still manages to main a relative mom n pop aesthetic. The wi-fi is fast and the light music and quiet conversation make it ideal for working. The view from the bar of the intersection is relaxing because you still see plenty of traffic without the noise and distractions that often come with. You can’t really go wrong here, and it’s much better than Starbucks(and cheaper). Plus the awnings allow you to sit outside even if it rains.

Café Nero isn’t my usual hangout but I worked here for a couple of hours this morning before a meet. Sadly I’m not a coffee drinker so I can’t comment on that but I hear they do amazing hot chocolates! I grabbed a yogurt and berry with granola pot and a water and grabbed a spot. The tables are all tall tables here so if you’re not a fan I would recommend heading to the Bedford Road location round the corner. More sofas! My pot was pretty standard but filling and the atmosphere within was chilled and not overly crowded for a on the corner coffee shop in London One thing I will say is that the classical music that they played was rather loud and became annoying, not great for online meetings.
