Art Cafe

Wir waren im März in London und wollten ein traditionelles englisches Frühstück haben. Das Art Café war nicht weit von unserem Hotel entfernt und das Frühstück war günstig. Es war für den Preis total ok. Nichts besonderes und nicht sehr üppig, aber ok. Für schnell was kleines essen oder einen Kaffee trinken geht der Laden in Ordnung! Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich!

I came here on a weekend trip to London in 2010, it was right around the corner from my hostel and right by the tube. It was cute and small and had a great atmosphere. I ordered a traditional English breakfast. It was good, nothing special but was not bad.

Oh, Art Café. I really, really wanted to like you. Your charming little bistro chairs and a pastry display that would make your mouth water instantly… alas, you broke our hearts.
We came in on a Sunday for breakfast and found the menu typical of most places in the area. My husband ordered a traditional English and I ordered a crêpe and coffee.
The coffees came quick enough, but the order of the food is the disappointment. I received and subsequently ate my crêpe (cold crepes are gross!) about 10 minutes after ordering. My husband’s food came about 15 minutes later and when it did, it was the wrong order and by then, he was so fed up with waiting that we just left without him eating. We saw others come in after us and get waited on and served food before he did, which is the worst part. If you are behind, fine, we get it — but at least give us an update? Or when the wrong order comes out, don’t be so defensive.
Would love to recommend but after our experience, we’d look elsewhere down Queensway.

Nice little café by Bayswater tube. Friendly service. Didn’t try the food as had just eaten out!

Meh is the exact word I would use to describe my food here — had an omlet which came w/​fries & a salad — everything was just meh… not bad but nothing exciting. Ok ambiance though — if it were nicer outside that day the outdoor seating may be a nice option…
